I really think if this game hadn't been so click-y, and didn't have so much dialog that you have to keep choosing, it would have flowed more easily and would have been more enjoyable. When I see how well the 13th Skull game went, I want to hold all the MCF games to the same standard, and maybe that's unfair. I know that Escape From Ravenhearst may have been too painful for many gamers, but it is another example of a well-thought through storyline, where all the components seem to work together. For that reason, I just found this one to be...meh.
This game is easily, hands-down, one of the best games I've ever played! It has everything: HO's, puzzles, story line, characters, scenery, and humor. The interaction with live actors wasn't annoying, but fit perfectly into the game. This game gave me hours, even days of play time, and kept me intrigued the whole time. Oh, if we only had more like this one!

First of all, it's very well done. My problem is simply a personal one: I prefer a game I can play, puzzles, HO's, and plenty of them. This adventure is much more cinematic, and I am easily distracted and bored with cut scenes and ciinematics. For everyone who loved this game, I'm glad you're enjoying it. It just wasn't for me.

What a great game! Bought it because I wanted something different, and this was it. An actual story line, with cohesive characters and no confusing octopus tendrils sticking out of crazy places (I get really tired of tendrils). This game had some pretty good puzzles and HOs, and the graphics, while not pristine, were very good for the story. I got hours of play out of this game, and will probably try the game that preceded it, just to see what the developers did the first time around. Great value!
This game had it all for me: great HO's, puzzles, good sound quality and artwork, and a storyline that actually made sense! I loved it. Great game to play after the holiday, and I hope to find another Bonfire Stories of the same quality.
I loved the scenes and the games, and really enjoyed the interactive HO's. In fact, I was really enjoying the game play, all the way to the end, when I found myself dumbfounded by the ending. I'm still trying to figure out who was who and what happened.

First, I liked the graphics, the animation, the puzzles, the HOs, almost everything EXCEPT for the story line. It seemed to be all over the place, and I'm one of those players who enjoys the games to make sense. Missing daughter, town plagued by an evil child who uses a scary clown and a wicked nurse. Stone flowers, mechanical dummies, floating doors into the past, etc. This game seemed to be patched up from a lot of other games and it didn't work for me. If you just want a game with puzzles and some pretty good HOs, it's probably worth your money. This one just wasn't for me.

I am currently taking a break from BFG, going through all my old games (over 400) and trying out new games to find one that sparks my interest enough to come back. First, I want to say that this game seems beautifully done, great looking artwork and sound, all the bells and whistles. I am in the first 8 minutes of play, and I'm having the same complaint with Eipix that I've had for years: the cinematics. I hate the camera work moving in and out and all around during the cut scenes. I know it's done for dramatic effect, but I really wish they'd stop! This is listed under HO, and so far, I haven't seen one. I'm going to finish the trial before I decide if this is THE game that will change my mind, as there have been so many positive reviews, so far, from other gamers.

For anyone who likes aquariums and/or match-3 games, this one is a keeper! I could not stop playing and found it to be more than challenging. I had a lot of fun building my fish tanks and I'm looking forward to having something else along this line.
