The Fantasy Mosaics series has made me fall in love with nonograms!! I am someone who has difficulty visualizing spacial orientation, and these puzzles are not only helpful exercising that skill, but they're fun, and the pictographs are clever and adorable! The backgrounds are beautifully colored, and i always look forward to seeing the the "reward" for each tier. It's a nice, quiet game, suitable for relaxation; the music (which is adjustable) is nice, but i personally prefer it off. The penguin companion is adorable, and will chirp occasionally. Overall, it's a nice, quiet, fun game, great for down-time or focus, and is easy on the eyes, as well as quick to learn!! (following may be a mini-spoiler for some!!) As much as i love this game, i would change 2 details, because i find them frustrating; with all of the stunning colors in the backgrounds and the "rewards" areas, it's frustrating that the puzzles seem to use such a small selection/variation, and i hate that the titles of the "trophies" don't show after their initial presentation. Otherwise, i am a HUGE FAN, and will continue to play the series as each chapter is presented... HOPE YOU ENJOY THE GAME, TOO!! :D
First CE in a while that i -really- feel like i got my money's worth, and then some!! :D Challenging, but not excruciating; solid storyline (though a little more back story about "your sister" would have been better), and LOTS of play time!! :D I tend to keep music kind of low, but what i -was- hearing was very nice :)) The strategy guide was helpful, the few times i needed guidance; specific directions that were easy to follow with big, clear screenshots. I'm not sure if it left enough to build on for its own sequel, but i'll definitely keep an eye out for more from Top Evidence Studio, and for others in the Haunted Manor collection (their previous was HM: Lord of Mirrors)! WELL WORTH IT!
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
As a big MCF fan, i was looking forward to this installment, and i was not disappointed with this CE!! I -really- enjoy the unique focus on morphing objects instead of the classic hidden objects style; it was a refreshing change of pace, very challenging! Enjoyed, too, the art/graphics; i had some issues with some sound effects (voices), but otherwise it kept up the spooky atmosphere very well! Adjusting the sounds in the Options panel helped a lot. ;) Over-all, i enjoyed MFC: RTR very much, and will probably go back and do it again in the future! HEED THE WARNINGS about the game before you play; it is, indeed, a very dark-themed game, with some disturbing psychological aspects to the story, but i found it very entertaining and a great challenge; hope they keep them coming!! The one thing i -didn't- care as much for? The game tends to be a little vague about "where to go now?" which, for me, is -terribly- frustrating! The mini-games do not include instructions or assistance (other than skips and the SG), and i found myself needing to use the Strategy Guide to get past a few areas. But otherwise, i loved it!! HOPE YOU DO, TOO!!
