Of all the HOPAs, MCF can still catch my interest and pull me into the action. Except for a kerfuffle at the end of the dining room scene, it was well thought out. One of the few I had difficulty leaving. I had no technical problems at all (MS). Thank you!
Not a well-done mosaic. Two major problems: No clicks when activating or blanking squares - increased difficulty, yes, but very annoying. And all the pictures were of the same subjects (animals, objects) repeated in various modes. Boring.
My mistake for liking previous Elephant games enough to ignore the other reviews. Too dark (literally, not figuratively), story line was chaotic and impossible to follow, repetitive mini-games. The puzzle minigames were almost impossible. Never again.
I enjoyed this very much. Played in hard mode, which made it more difficult to start each picture. But it would be more fun in the long run if they left some blanks in the final picture. The last few colors could be filled in blindly. So many mosaics have such repetitive, bland colors that I found these refreshing. I totally lost the story line until the end. That could have been done better also. Overall challenging in the hard mode and very enjoyable.
I loved this game. Most HOPs are so easy they no longer challenge - you can click blindly and hit on an object. I really had to look look for these. The Story line wasn't new, but relatively unique. If you're not afraid of difficult HOPs, this is for you.
There I was, thinking about playing G of G I and II again, and wishing they'd come out with a new version. Checked BFG, and there it was! I love these games, and hope they continue to create more. My only gripe was that almost all were in "paper" mode, whereas the previous had wood, glass and stone modes in addition. That made for a very nice change of pace which I missed in this game.
I used to enjoy these games. But this one - I couldn't finish because it was tedious. The colors were always the same. And they were terrible colors. The solving was monotonous, because the patterns of solving were always the same and no longer challenging. They are trying too hard to put out games quickly, I think. This group has been trending downhill in quality for some time, but this finally hit my limit.
I've played these games forever. This one has the best qualities of all of them: gorgeous pictures (a true artist's touch); challenging but not impossible placement; pick-up then place (you don't have to hold the piece until you place it); and a wide variety of pictures (not the same old). Awesome!!! Please create more of these!
