The CE version has 7 levels while the SE has only 5. All in all, the game was fast and too short. No real challenges. Sort of hum drum, boring... It's okay if you just want a quick, easy TM game....
This game fell on the low end of the ranks of Emily's games, in my opinion. I didn't much care for the different 'areas' on the ship, or the story line. Most of the rest of the games (especially the newer games) are much better with regard to story line, extras, challenges, and so forth.
I don't recommend this game.

Sorry, but this was not NEARLY as good as the first Dreampath game....Dreampath: The Two Kingdoms. It was average, not original, and - compared to the first one - rather lacking in many aspects.
This is a truly wonderful game to play, with a fantastic story line, characters, and games!! My only advice would be to skip the SE version and wait for the regular version to come out if you purchase. The SE does not really offer anything that would make it worth the cost (unless you like collecting fairies and want the - unnecessary - strategy guide).
If you are not into gaining achievements, if you are into skipping minigames and using lots of hints, then you may be OK with this game (as long as you are not getting so bogged down with extremely difficult minigames that you cannot follow the storyline!)
I played the demo and thought it was going to be a fantastic addition to my Awakening collection. However, I may have been wrong. I still don't know. I was unable to get too far in the demo because I kept getting bogged down with ALL of the minigames! They do not have clear instructions and the SG is very little help! Plus, you have to exit the game and go to the SG, then get back into the game. So, the SG is not exactly "user friendly". It wasted a lot of time. I was disappointed with this game because it did not flow. The story did not flow because it kept getting bogged down.
A True Trilogy With a Happy and Satisfactory Conclusion!!

I loved this series for the light, colorful, lighthearted storyline/plot! So many games these days are entirely too dark, "supposedly" sinister, and depressing! Games are meant to be fun (not a chore, not work, and not persistently dark and depressing!) Not that I would NEVER enjoy some of the darker games, but I like to have a good blend of both in my collection. I look for many things in a game that are deciding factors as to whether I will actually purchase the game, purchase the SE vs. the CE, and am likely to replay the games. This game had it all! Yes, I purchased this game. Yes, I will replay the game. And, well? the SE over the CE? I'm not certain that the bonus content makes the CE worth the extra money/credits. Basically, the princess is ridding her castle of "lasting remnants" of evil left by the witch. It's fun and okay, gives a plot addition where owl becomes a "master" of his powers and for his heritage (so that is good!) It lets you know that he and Bella will be able to continue the lineage of protection. I would give this game a full 5 star rating and would definitely recommend it for gamers who like to get away from the dark and dreary games/plots. It is a good game to add to your collection! If you have not already done so, it would be a good idea to go back and get the other 2 games in the series in order to have the full plot! Those games are also fun (although the first game will lack visual/technical quality that was improved with the last 2 - but that is okay, especially if you use a "free game" credit).
Only a few minutes into the demo, I knew that I would purchase the SE version of this game! Most SE game versions are a huge disappointment for me because the extras and bonus chapters are not worth the money or the time. This one though? Extremely worth it!! During the game, you are able to collect additional items. First, there are hidden turtles that allow you to add to your achievement area. Second, there are shells (that equal money) that you can use to purchase items for your dolphin to play with (in your dolphin pool), and to purchase items for your aquarium (which is also one of the bonuses). Third, there are hidden sea creatures that go into an "encyclopedia" of fun facts and information on each. All in all, these extras were fabulous! The extras in the bonus level were superb! There are videos from the game, wallpapers (though, sadly, not one of your aquarium), concept art, games that you can play (replay) from the game (which is fun!), and the bonus chapter? Well, that provides the absolute BEST epilogue to a game that I have seen in a long time!! Usually, I am disappointed in SE versions because of the bonus chapter! This SE version of the game had it all!! I know that I will replay this game! Other reviewers have done a great job discussing the technical aspects (so I will not be redundant). I will just say that this was a great game! It is not one of the "dark" and rather depressing games that become tiresome. The setting and graphics were light, colorful, interesting, and fun! If I had to list a "criticism", there was one issue (that became clear later, but I still might replay the game knowing now what I did not know at the time :). I did have one problem with the plot/storyline when there was confusion. When Marcus was tossed off of the boat, tied to a huge rock; the game immediately went to "gameplay" in Marcus' past. This was confusing because it was not apparent that Marcus was re-living or recalling a past event (memory). Also confusing was the plot line distinguishing time frames (and possibly? locations). For example, the developers could have added information stating such things as: present day, 10 years ago, present day, 5 years ago, etc. That would have helped to follow the story. But, as I said, eventually, you figure it out (it becomes clear - mostly - eventually); particularly with the vids and info that fills you in on the background! :) All in all, GREAT game!! New, innovative, exceptional!! Strongly recommend the SE! (And this is something I would hardly ever do :)
The storyline is great! The CE bonus play is interesting, different locations, and comes with a "twist" in the plot!
It was a challenging game and, though there was a lot of travel between scenes (requiring your memory to recall where you needed to go once you had found an item or clue), this simply kept it out of the "too easy" category.
Great game! The CE version is definitely worth it!

This was a fantastic game and kept me hooked from beginning to end! I don't usually buy the CE versions but this one was WELL worth it! Not only did you find out who the "bad guy" was, but you found out WHY (the story behind the motive) and got to see how the ending turned out! The bonus play was excellent!
I absolutely LOVED this game and hope they come out with more of the same! The running dialogue gives you a great story and plot, the HO scenes are fantastic (you can play in casual mode or timed), there are games within the game, and you get to buy and "fix up" the orphanage so you "outwit" the "bad guys" who want to shut down the orphanage. Two thumbs up and a definite recommendation! As much as I love HOAs, I love great games like this one as well! Please come up with more on the Lagoona story!
