pretty good game, didn't even mind the voices in this one, except for the coughing, breathing and hmmmmmm sounds, really could have done without those. Good length and plenty of places to explore. Hidden object scenes and puzzles somewhat challenging but not expert level. Wish they had expanded the bonus scene into a sequel game.

first off, I don't really like hidden object games that have you find parts of an object. puzzles weren't very hard. I normally don't care about graphics, but the characters movements were really jerky, something you would expect from a game 20 yrs ago. Plot was disjointed, violent without being creepy.
on the plus side, voices could be silenced, impefectly but I appreciate the option.
Might be good for beginning gamers who don't mind all the above. But don't play full price, wait for the deal of the day!
I don't recommend this game.

This game was a good length for a CE, hidden object scenes were fun and had extra twists. Also liked how you had to return to earlier scenes to continue the game. BUT...... the voices were incredibly annoying, especially the children. The puzzles were few and so easy as to be laughable. Good game for those who like hidden objects but don't like puzzles.
I recommend this game!

This is a very good game, love the extra twist to the hidden object scenes. Could have been harder, esp the glyph puzzles which were so simple as to be boring. Not at all scary or creepy, but I liked it anyway. I will buy the sequel.
I recommend this game!

This game was okay, but so tedious that it was hard to complete. Just moving from room to room takes so much effort, if you don't click in exactly the right place your inventory comes up instead. Really took a lot of fun out of the game. Lots of other evidence of sloppy editing too. Found most of the puzzles more run of the mill than challenging. Hidden object scenes were pretty easy also. Glad I only wasted a game coupon on this instead of $$!
I don't recommend this game.

The advanced version was still a little too easy, puzzles not very challenging. Length is great, lots of play for your CE price. love the settings, that you can turn off the dialogue and music but keep background. Loved the extra twists to the hidden object scenes, and shooting monsters. Got really tired of the floating lights and "special effects" lights and sounds every time you solved a puzzle. But all in all a game worth playing.
I recommend this game!

This game is for beginning gamers only. It leaves very little for you to figure out on your own. As I play games on advanced or hardcore mode, I may be biased. I found it very run of the mill and boring. Also not sure where the "mountains of madness comes in" - there is no madness, spookiness or creepiness. Yawn.
I don't recommend this game.

This SE packs in a lot, even a bonus game! I've played CEs with less content! It is a lot of fun, some quirky twists and humor too. Worst thing: the voice overs were terrible, had to turn the sound off. Could have been more challenging on advanced mode, but all in all a game worth playing.
I recommend this game!

the length is good, hidden objects and puzzles intermediate, can't give it an A + rating because"
"fear for sale" ? not at all scary or creepy.
the scenes aren't used to the max: you will get to a really detailed scene and only find one thing. The developers could have done so much more. Take some direction from the MCF games!
I dislike games that prod me in the right direction, even in "expert mode". Let me explore and figure it out for myself!
Not sorry I bought the CE, but expected more.
Recommended for beginning to intermediate hidden object game fans.
I recommend this game!

This is a good CE, good length, including the bonus section. I can't comment on music or voices as I always turn them off. Most of the games were challenging, a couple could have used a little more instruction. Hidden object scenes maybe a little easy. I love a game where you keep a tool even if you used it once, it doesn't just disappear.
I recommend this game!
