I'm really confused by this game. I've read the other reviews and just cannot see where the challenge lies. I am about 2/3 of the way through it and have gold in every level first time without really trying. I have only restarted a level once. The levels all last about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes and each level seems pretty linear, there are some things you can't do immediately so just leave them and do something else and it all works out.
To my mind if you have played MKFTP, Roads to Rome or kingdom chronicles then you should have absolutely no problem with this one and will find it quite boring. I have played it with my 4 year old and he still managed to get gold once I explained the concept to him. I've rarely needed to use the bonuses - auto pick up, faster working, faster walking etc but do so just to get each level done - I'm really quite bored with it and want it over and done with.
I like the fact that you don't have to click on items to pick them up but I would really like to be able to stack actions.
I think this is is a much lower lever than the other games of its kind and would think it a great introduction to time management games for a first timer or children. So I would recommend it for that but not for a seasoned MKFTP-er. I'm glad I got it on special offer.

I have not got anywhere near completing the demo but I am so bored with it and I love this sort of TM game usually. I found the instructions vague and frustrating and the gameplay was so simplistic that it was no fun. I was excited to see this sort of game as a Daily Deal but I am really disappointed in it.

I really enjoyed the demo, thought it was all done very nicely. However after a while I realised that there really wasn't much in it to challenge me. As long as you get all the different types of buildings and follow the instructions then you will win. You can move buildings around with no penalty, when other gods start damaging buildings, you just fix them again. The use of the Manna just means that with patience you can do everything. You will eventually get enough resources as long as you keep adding buildings to up your storage limit, and once you get enough resources you move on a level. I never bothered paying the Gods to stop destroying stuff until I had so much money that the payment didn't really make a dent in it.
It is fun, and well done but it's definitely not a great challenge.
I recommend this game!

I'm not familiar with the TV programme so had no understanding of the concept of the game and the game didn't provide any clues. I agree there was far too much pointless dialogue and to be honest I struggled to understand what it was I was supposed to be doing as the instructions were pretty useless. I plodded though it though and worked it out but certainly more by luck than judgement.
The HO scenes were ok, again I thought they didn't translate very well to non US audiences but perhaps that's just me.
I really didn't enjoy this in the slightest.
I don't recommend this game.

I enjoyed playing this, there wasn't too much tooing and froing. The HO scenes were interesting and some effort had been made to make them a little different to the usual ones. In some you can't find some things until you find others for example which made it a bit fresher. I like that some unusual items snuck in e.g. a USB flash drive, as well as the usual swords, butterflies, candlesticks etc. There were some puzzles that I've not really come across before in these types of games and I think the level of challenge was good. I do think that a little more help could have been gien as to what needed to be done on a puzzle. I had to resort to the walkthrough a couple of times just to understand how things worked, and then worked them out myself from there.
I completed the whole thing in under 3 hrs, and I wasn't paying full attention all the time. However I did enjoy it a lot. My son loves playing hidden object (or rather, helping me with them), and I would be comfortable with him playing this. Although it features vampires, it's not scary or overly dark like some vampire games are.

I love this game! There is so much gameplay, it's fun, funny, challenging, the graphics are great and it has a lot of replay value too. Some levels are very hard but still doable and it's one of my favourites on the whole site - also one of the first ones I bought. It is utterly addictive and I have had a lot of cramp in my mouse hand when playing for hours on end!

It was ok but I didn't really enjoy it very much. I completed it in just over 2 hrs (including demo time) so I felt it was quite short and I was glad I got it on a deal rather than paying full price for it. There was a lot of going backwards and forwards which was very tedious, and I thought the story was a bit meh, particularly the ending. I found the puzzles to be very easy - a few jigsaw/put the picture back together puzzles, put items the correct order puzzles e.g baby, child, adult, old man, put the cogs together, and a few remember the sequence ones so really nothing particularly challenging or exciting. I usually don't mind HO scenes but even they didn't really engage me much.

Great fun, challenging without overtaxing your brain, thoroughly enjoyable. A very simple concept that I didn't think would have legs but I've played the whole thing today and wish there were more levels (not that it's a short game or anything).
Also is proving popular with my 4 year old in the casual mode.
