MCF bounces back with a slam-dunk hit with Dire Grove, Sacred Grove! I couldn't wait to pounce on that BUY button once the trial was up. What helped make up my mind?
1. Good voice acting. Don't mind that the actors aren't live, but I always cringe when you can tell that The Boss gave the best speaking part to his barely literate girlfriend.
2. Realistic animated animal movement, gorgeous art and decent lipsynch
3. Loved the Rube Goldberg-ish puzzle. I needed a hint to get started, but I hope there are more. I love a little cranial crossfit once in a while along with the usual HOPs, rotating doodads and easy-peasy pipes.
4. There are Morphing Objects! There are Jigsaw Pieces as collectables! And there are even clickable, interactive Easter Eggs on the opening page. I found a bunch. Can you? Wheee!

I've been a fan of this series from the get-go. Graphics were great here, none of the graininess that others reported, my visuals were always sparkling, lush and beautiful throughout. The story was a bit convoluted, but that's always better than the usual "car crash, save your kidnapped relative from unspeakable evil' tripe, IMHO. It was also refreshing to find their trademark FROG puzzles a bit more challenging this time around, with lots of glitzy little red-herrings tempting you to click!
BUT... the one thing that sank my love boat in this otherwise gorgeous and dreamy game was the map. Arrrrgh! Why, oh why does a top shelf dev like BT, in 2014, make a CE without a transporting map?!?!? I had to dock a star for that. Otherwise, a stunning and pleasant game and well worth trying the sample to see if it's your cup of Earl Grey.

Ok, when I'm in the mood for mental stimulation, I'm not going to reach for the M3's in my Game Manager. When I'm in need of a relaxing, soothing, no grey matter required click-a-thon, though, this sweet little game fills the bill brilliantly!
Now, granted, the story-line is sorely lacking in originality, but everything works as it should, there are three choices of M3 gameplay, the sound effects are spot on with the volume being adjustable so it was never annoying, and there is no waiting for one group of tiles to pop and fall before sliding the next bunch. And...there was no timer! Yippee!
All of the familiar powerups and road blocks are there, and the powerups are introduced early on, which makes the gameplay pleasantly easy for those of us who enjoy M3s as a low-pressure form of relaxation.
The Fairy theme is maintained thoughout, making this a very girly game and quite suitable for the Princess set as well as fantasy loving old hens like Yours Truly.
I got about half way through my hour's trial and decided the game was well worth spending a coupon to own. If you are an M3 fan, give the trial a spin and see if it works for you.

Defeat the King of Demons and find a way to get out the Cursed House once again, banishing evil spirits, ghosts and demons from the house!

Great game, but may be too frantic for some

This is a beautifully crafted game, and a worthy sequel to the first Cursed House, but as one of those M3 fans who likes to zen out when playing this genre, I found myself feeling pressured rather than relaxed while playing, even with the untimed option. That kinda killed the fun factor for me. The first chapter of the trial was fine, but the tasks presented by the 2nd chapter just left me feeling tense, so I quit after two boards.
If you like a dose of excitement and challenge with your match 3 games, I'd say go for it! This game should give you hours of fun. But, if you're like me and play to unwind and relax, definitely try before you buy.
