I played the entire game in one sitting, even though it was way past when I should have gone to bed! The downside to that is that the game isn't super long, but it was very enthralling and I wanted to finish it to find out what happened in the story.
The sound effects/music were not overbearing, the visual quality was good, and the HO scenes weren't bad. I wouldn't say the game was particularly challenging (objects were almost too easy to find), but it was a lot of fun.

"OK" is the best word I can think of to describe this game. The visuals are not terrible, but they're definitely not stunning. The story is rather trite and there's no voice-acting, just lines of text to click through. My favorite part of the game was the problem-solving aspect, although after a few levels everything started to feel repetitive. Overall, I think I'll probably forget everything about this game in a few weeks but it was decent fun while it lasted.
I don't recommend this game.

Christmas Tales: Fellina's Journey
Find Santa’s magic star and stop the gruesome Icy Elf from ruining Christmas for everyone on the planet in Christmas Tales: Fellina’s Journey!
I have never written a review for a game I didn't purchase but this one was terrible enough that I feel I should review based on the demo alone, which I finished in 30 minutes.
1) The English is horrendous. The narration at the beginning was laughable. There are also misspellings all over the place, including within the HO scenes themselves (harmonic instead of harmonica; compasses when only searching for one compass).
2) It wasn't very difficult to figure out where to go, but some of the tasks given were just ridiculous. "Excuse me sir but we need your help to get to Lapland." "Oh sure, just find me 6 lemmings first." ... Really?
3) The graphics weren't all that great. The music was pretty good but not enough to save the game. Just buy a Nutcracker Ballet CD.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this game--not for a child or adult of any skill level.
I agree that this game is probably meant for a child; like maybe a 2-year-old. I bought it because I LOVE everything having to do with Christmas, but that's not enough to save it. The music isn't even Christmas-related! Other than the main detective, the characters don't even have names--it's Reindeer, Elf, etc. In addition, it's completely non-challenging. I consistently finished each HO scene in about 20-30 seconds.
Overall, this might possibly be worth the $2.99 as a daily deal, but even that's stretching it.
I love the Dark Parables series because of the beautiful graphics and challenging gameplay. I'm not typically a huge fan of Hidden Object games that require you to build objects with parts that you find, but this one doesn't bother me. The story is intriguing and whenever I was confused about what to do, the Hint option was almost always useful.
This is definitely one of my favorite Hidden Object games. The graphics and music are lovely and the story is engaging. I do think it can be tricky at times and I have run out of hints on more than one occasion.
The Dream Day Wedding series is one of my favorites. I'm a sucker for anything wedding-related, and the plot and visuals of this game do not disappoint! It's an old game but I still re-play it every now and then for a bit of a fix. I wish it were a bit longer, though.
I like this game because there is an actual goal, rather than just matching a random assortment of objects. I wouldn't say it's the most entertaining or engaging game ever, but it's a good way to waste some time. The colors are bright and the music is nice. Aladdin tends to get a bit antsy if you let him sit for too long, which is a tiny bit annoying if you're a completionist like me. :)
Once I completed the first "case" in this game, I felt like all the others were essentially identical. Unfortunately, it's not very engaging or entertaining. I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan but this game leaves a bit to be desired.
I don't recommend this game.

Fairway Solitaire
Pull out your clubs (and your diamonds, hearts and spades) and enjoy a round of Fairway Solitaire!
I can't even tell you how long I've had this game on my computer. I downloaded it months ago and still continue to play it (even now that the sequel has been released). Normally I play a game and then remove it from my computer but this one has survived. It's super fun, although sometimes the "announcers" can be a bit annoying. Just like real life, huh?
