which is, I believe, another game by this publisher. It is the same in every way except graphics, which are worse in this one -- I note another reviewer mentioned the problem with telling the colors apart -- and the fact that you can choose which of their increasingly annoying game types to play rather than having them assigned. The graphics are, as I said, a downgrade, and particularly bland and annoying. The instructions are as vague as Jewel Venture, maybe even a bit more so, which is an impressive feat. The game, just as before, starts out stupidly easy... perhaps, as in JV, deceptively easy, as the later levels of JV were almost impossible to complete with full stars, but I'll admit I wasn't masochistic enough to play this one that long, too, so maybe they adjusted the difficulty scaling. As they even used the same sound scheme, I doubt it, though. Not impressed. The variety of options makes no difference if they all look the same and all, ultimately, end up feeling more like work than entertainment, sorry.
I don't recommend this game.

My feelings about this game can be summed up in one sentence:
I didn't realize that there was no score until I was on the next to last level.
That said, if you haven't played Sparkle, you should. Beautiful graphics, decent music (though I always play with music off in games, as it distracts me) little secrets hidden throughout the game that are actually a challenge to find, and very nearly infinite replayability, as it has three difficulty levels, and a set of mastery challenges that are actually fun _and_ provide an in-game reward.
Be warned, though -- the expert and master difficulties are _very_ challenging, and it may take you several tries to succeed at expert and many, many tries for master. However, when you do succeed, there's a real feeling of accomplishment.
I love games by Myth People, their games are always unique, imaginative, and a good, worthwhile challenge.
