I really enjoyed Crossworlds. I played it last year and I still remember it as if I played it yesterday. I thought the story was very good and unique, a lot of imagination went into it. My favorite chapter was Robo City, it had a very apocalyptic feel to it and the old car was fun to drive. Although there are HOG scenes, I believe it’s more of an adventure game (which I prefer). I thought the game was challenging in some parts, but I’m not one to rush through games anyway. I didn’t get hooked until the 2nd chapter, so you might stick with the trial for the full hour. If you are looking for something a little different, this might be worth a try.
After all the poor reviews, I wasn’t going to bother with the game. But, I prefer adventure/puzzle games over HOGs and I thought I’d try it. I’m glad I did. The story and games kept me intrigued until the end. I didn’t mind the comic book graphics and the music is good. I did like that you can change from expert to easy mode during the game, as I needed additional hints as I got further in the game. I got the feeling this game has been around for a while, before BFG picked it up, it has that older adventure game feel to it. The items collected are on the smaller side and there are no voiceovers. The worst part is the ending as mentioned in other feedbacks. I finished the last formula and was left just hanging, the game gave no indication I was at the end, no closure at all. I had to check the walkthrough to confirm it. Although, I wonder if there is a glitch in the game, because I was unable to use the exit screen button (but the menu worked fine) and it kept stating all formulas needed to be finished, which they were. The formulas are not mathematical by the way, which was my first impression. Overall, I liked it. It’s different than the usual games offered today.

I really liked this game. I would consider it more of a light adventure game, not a HOG. There are no hidden object scenes/junk piles to deal with (a big plus for me). I found the story entertaining which kept my interest to the very end. The music was varied and very good. The game might be a little on the short side, especially if you skip a lot of the puzzles. I found some of the puzzles to be challenging, but if you choose the skip button, you have a two hint option first, which I used instead of having to skip them – great idea. There isn’t a lot of running around in this game, but there is a map and guides if needed. The only downside was that sometimes there would be voiceovers and other times I would just have to read the dialog. If you are interested in something a little different than the standard HOG/Adventure game, you might give it a try.

I also love this literature themed series. The story kept me interested until the very end. The game reminded me more of the larger adventure games that involve dialog with the characters, but it’s only a limited amount per character (some games can get pretty gabby). I really enjoyed all the ghostly characters that you bump into. I thought the game was on the easier side, but I like that occasionally. Not a lot of running around or backtracking, the hidden objects were easy to find and I didn’t need to skip any puzzles. The hint button pretty much told you what to do and where to go next. Overall I thought it was a nice relaxing, creepy game with an intriguing storyline.

I loved this game. Lots of puzzles and not an overwhelming amount of HOS. Some of the puzzles could be pretty challenging , which I like, but resorted to the skip button a couple of times too. I got caught up in the story and didn’t want the game to end. Great characters, a good mix of relevent music, quality graphics and ample game length. No glitches on my older computer. Can’t wait for the next one!
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

MCF raises the bar again for others to follow. Enjoyed going back to Ravenhearst and this game is definately CREEPY! One of the few games in which I could get full screen on my 24" monitor (on my older computer). Loved the old man dancing at the end and during the credits.

I love the Drawn series, they are unique and original games. I always become totally absorbed in these games and I found this one just as fun as the other two (Drawn 2 is probably my favorite). Trail of Shadows is a great adventure game for all the positive reasons already mentioned in the feedbacks. There are no HOG piles (a big plus for me) and I thought the interactive book was a great addition. Unfortunately,I did get a little tired of the music after a while and this game was shorter than the other two. Still, definitely worth the purchase. Thanks to the developers for their incredible imagination and please don’t let us wait so long for the next one!
