I like the clutter games, but I never buy them because there are NEVER any options available on how the games look or are played. Especially frustrating to me is that there is no window mode and the game can ONLY by played in FULL SCREEN mode. I download the games so I can enjoy the 60 minute tryout but then delete them because, as always, I refuse to buy games that don't offer a window mode to play.
While I like the concept to a certain extent, overall I find it very frustrating and unenjoyable. The play is very clunky and slow and moves take forever to actually show up on the board. The duel concept is poorly executed and so slow that its almost painful to wait for the opponents move to show up and then try to take your turn. The match boards included are well designed and colorful, but its often time impossible to actually choose a piece to match. The "window mode" is also almost the same size as full screen. So definitely NOT a buy for me.
Does it have similarities to previous games in the series? YES Does it have NEW challenges along with some old ones? YES I have the entire series fo this game and love every one of them. I highly recommend it. I'm always excited when a new one is featured and look forward to playing each one.

The developers somehow find new and challenging ways to design individual rooms with newer and more interesting problems for the player to conquer to move on to the next room. I have all 8 of the Cursed House games and each one is a true winner. More than just the usual march three boards that we're all familiar with, but NEW ways to stretch your mind. I LOVE this series and can't wait for number 9. Hurry up, guys. Hehehe
Too bad, the boards are nice and bright and interesting but, as usual with this developer, NO WINDOW MODE is offered. The game says it has, but when it is activated it isn't really a window. Just a tiny bit smaller than the full screen. No buy here, in fact not even a single board on this one.
Although if says there is an option for smaller screen mode, when that is chosed, it doesn't reduce the size of the playing field. I REFUSE to purchase any game that doesn't offer a smaller screen mode.
I downloaded the game because it appeared to the type of game I enjoy. However, once open I found that the game does not offer a windows mode of play. I NEVER purchase or even play the preview of any game that doesn't offer a window mode.
