Everything from the graphics to the voice-overs to the storyline make this a very sub-par game in my opinion. Clunky rendering of the graphics make this look like something from ten years ago. The plot is the same old detective hunting for a supernatural kidnapper.
I usually play every demo until the end before deciding whether to purchase. I could only play this for 10 minutes before losing interest.
Sadly, I have to say that this game doesn't even come close to meeting my standards for a collector's edition.
I don't recommend this game.

I love all the MCF games. It's not as challenging as the Ravenhurst series but I'm okay with that. I love that they hired Lea Thompson to play a big role in the cut scenes. The atmosphere of the game is truly creepy, but without being over the top. A very fun and well-designed game. :D
I recommend this game!

Same old, same old. The storyline is very much a retread. The HOGs are pretty cluttered. The puzzles are very easy. The hint system was great until I couldn't find 1 of the 3 buttons I needed to continue. It kept telling me to look elsewhere, and the strategy guide didn't have the answer, either. I became stuck and frustrated, so I quit the demo early, which I almost never do. Save your money!
I don't recommend this game.

Gameplay itself is very boring/tedious. The historical setting the story is based on is represented badly--the dialogue doesn't at all sound what you'd read in Jane Austen novel, for instance. It's just bad all the way around.
I don't recommend this game.

This a fun adventure game with an interesting/funny story line. In my opinion, the graphics are intentionally cartoonish because it seem to be imitating a comic book "feel". It's a nice change of pace. In terms of playing enjoyment, the puzzles aren't too challenging but they're engaging. As this is a straight adventure game, there are no hidden object scenes. I actually prefer adventure games, so this was a plus for me. The music is fun Elvis-style rockabilly. Again, a fun departure.
I recommend this game!

The graphics are very crude and the level of challenge is so simplistic, you're reduced to basically clicking at giant objects you'd never miss. The puzzles are very easy. Visually, the scrolling screen will make some nauseous.
Overall, this is the same game re-packaged by a company that delivers low quality over and over again.
I don't recommend this game.

I'd give this game higher marks if the mini-game puzzles were more challenging. Also, there are a lot of medallion/crest type of objects that you have to find and they all look very similar. It's hard to tell which object goes where.
I recommend this game!

This is a fun little game. I like the mystery element of the storyline. It's spooky without being over-the-top. The puzzles are fun but the hidden object scenes do get repetitive. I found there were far too many of them. It would be better if the objects needed to progress in the game were more challenging to find rather than just by finding them in a HOS. Overall, I did enjoy playing and have just purchased it.
I recommend this game!
