Based on the demo, this game is just like the Cooking Live ones. I don't see any bread baking involved in the storyline, just another cook & serve game. I might eventually buy it if it goes on sale cheap enough or I have points getting ready to expire (unlikely), but I'm certainly not in a hurry to do so. The only reason I'd even consider the CE is for the extra levels.
I don't recommend this game.

From the description, I wasn't sure about this game but decided to download the trial version. As soon as I got into it and realized it was another Square Root of Tree game, I knew I wanted to buy it. I'd ordinarily wait for it to be eligible for a sale, but I decided the 100 bonus points was good enough. Love these games! The storyline is so much better than other time management games - I have trouble persuading myself to stop playing when I need to go to sleep. There are some minor issues, probably due to translation, like on Level 5 the stated goal is "give out plates" when what it counts is cleaning up the broken dishes. Not difficult to figure out if you watch the cut scenes, though.
More SQRT games, please!
I recommend this game!

I don't know if it has taken 2 years to think up this odd name for Barbarous 2: Tavern Wars, but I'm glad Big Fish finally has it. Now please don't make us wait so long for Barbarous 3, which has been out for some time already. I enjoy games from this developer (although not as fond of the Delicious series, which I find excessively focused on clicking like mad - plus I hate the orange & green color scheme of those). The Barbarous series is especially fun to me, as it's quite humorous. I did have to replay some levels more than once to get all 5 stars, but I managed in the end without resorting to lowering the difficulty level - I had to do that to get all the stars in the Elena's Journal game, as some of the Amazon levels were quite difficult for my arthritic hands.
I recommend this game!

I enjoy the games from this developer. I find them well drawn with an interesting storyline and excellent translations. Although I'm not a big fan of the Delicious games, all of the recent series like Primrose Lake, Barbarous, these Arcane Arts ones, and the more recent Elena's Journal and Undercover: Blood Bonds are games I play over and over. I'm happy we didn't have to wait longer to get this one. Now we need Barbarous 2 & 3 - seeing Emyr's bar in this game is just teasing me!
I recommend this game!

I think this is my least favorite of the Square Root of Tree time management games, but that's just because the vampire story isn't my favorite. The game is still very well done and the story moves along so you want to keep going to find out the next development. It obviously is made to have a sequel, and I will be watching for it. This one had no apparent tie-in to the Barbarous ones, unlike the Arcane Arts Academy game (despite all the bars, Emyr's wasn't one of them).
I recommend this game!

I really enjoy the Time Management games from Square Root of Tree. I find them well made, with interesting storylines. This one has a small connection to the Barbarous and Arcane Academy games in that Emyr's bar shows up in both this game and the Arcane Academy one (same booth & sign, too, plus Emyr obviously behind the bar). I hope we will get more of these, as I find them much better than other games in this genre.
I recommend this game!

There are only 3 restaurants that i can find - no farm at the end. My other problem with this game is that if you get 3 stars on every level (which is pretty easy to do), you get all the upgrades for that restaurant well before the full 60 levels and finish the restaurant with money that doesn't carry over to the next location or give you a way to spend it - it just vanishes. Also, at the end of the first restaurant you aren't given a chance to buy the last upgrade before going to the next location. You only get that option after finishing the 3rd restaurant. I'm not sure why.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoy most of the similar games from this developer, although I wasn't a fan of the earlier Delicious games (too much clicking, especially in some that wanted you to find the little mice that were not even visible, such as ones in the cabinets). Well drawn cartoon art, an interesting storyline, and tasks that were just challenging enough that I had to replay some levels to get all the stars. Now, please get the next installment reasonably soon - it's already been out for a while. (And we still need Barbarous 2 & 3, please.)
I recommend this game!

I liked the first 3 games, so I thought I'd like this one but decided to check the trial version before buying it. My vision isn't all that good these days, and I have trouble finding the subtle differences in these. Since it appears that every level is Find the Difference, with only a mini-game showing up randomly in some (not sure how many) levels, I don't expect to buy this one. Maybe one day, but I'd have to be pretty bored.
I don't recommend this game.

Take on the role of Emyr, probably the realm’s most famous hero. That is, until his career was destroyed by a dreadful wound. Now, Emyr works in the tavern.

I've replayed this game more than once, largely because I find it amusing. The mechanics of it are much like other cooking/serving games, but this one is more humorous than others. It's more like the Primrose Lake games than the Emily ones (thank goodness, as I found many of the Emily ones required too much clicking for my arthritic hands). But the 2nd in the series came out in the Fall of 2021 and we still don't have it here - and the 3rd game is out now, too. Please get us these games, especially if Primrose Lake #5 is really the end of that series.
I recommend this game!
