In the many years I've been playing BG games, I've only written a couple reviews. I really wanted to write this one because I honestly enjoyed this game. Now maybe the developers made some improvements or fixed some glitches from when the game debuted, but I didn't have any tech issues at all. The mini games and HOPS were not real challenging, but I was more interested in the story line and loved the interaction between the characters. I agree with some of the other reviewers, the pirate story was fun! It was so much more intertaining than all the "done to death" storylines that are so prevenlent in most games. I am so bored with most of what comes out these days. This was a nice change! If you are on the fence about it due to all the poor reviews, just give the free trial a chance and it you don't like it, no big deal. But who knows, you just might be pleasantly surprised! I sure was!
I rarely write reveiws, but I thought this one deserved it. I get so bored with the newer games that lack interesting story lines and challenge. They are cookie cutter clones that make me not want to purchase from BFG much anymore. But this one was fun for me. I liked the story and It wasn't always obvious what to do next. When I got stuck,I used the map to figure out where to go and what to do. Thanks for bringing back a game that made me remember why I joined BFG from the start! My only disappointment was that you could not customize your options so I had to play with HOP sparkles, which I would rather not,
I LOVE this series! This series is by far more interesting and intriguing than any other series I have ever played. I really hope they continue the story without changing anything about the format of the game. Most of the CE adventure games that get 5 stars are (in my opinion) a bit of a bore. They lack challenge and most of all they lack interesting story lines and characters. Not so with this series. Adam Wolfe kept me wanting more, just like a really good book you can't put down! It almost has an "old school" feel to it, but without the clunkiness of the older games. There are not super stunning special effects that are more show than substance. This series has tons of substance! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not make us wait forever to see what happens next!
I recommend this game!

Reminds me of the "Siberia" game! Really fun old school, but with a really interesting storyline and fun "retro" feel. I really enjoyed it. I wish the newer adventure games were this creative and challenging.
I loved the first game in this series. I liked the second one as well. But this one was a bit of a disappointment from an adult perspective. While I think it would be a lot of fun for a younger audience, as an adult I found it rather boring. The story line was okay, but not all that engaging. In fact it was a little too juvenile in my opinion. The tasks and mini games were not challenging enough. For these reasons I gave it 3 stars. But again, for a family game with young kids, I would most definitely recommend.

Secret Trails: Frozen Heart Collector's Edition
Your surprise visit is ruined by a blizzard. Who caused it, and what does he want with your little sister?
I really liked the story line and the graphics. But for CE price, it should have been longer. I completed the entire game plus bonus chapter in 2-3 hours and that was with a couple of breaks in between and only skipped a couple mini-games. I think I would rate it much higher as a SE game.
Overall, I enjoyed playing it. But I would recommend the SE over the CE.
I loved this game. It was engaging and challenging. Enough HOS without getting boring or monotonous. Good adventure game with lots of different scenes and navigating around without being confusing or tedious. The dialogue was not irratating, but rather brief and intelligent. I would love to see (and play!) more Angela Weaver mysteries!
I really enjoyed this game. It was very different from other type HOG / adventure games. I get rather bored with HOG and this one does have many, but they were pretty quick to get through. And even though the objects can be very small, I didn't have too a hard of a time finding most of them. It was light, bright and fun! It was a very nice change from the dark and dismal themed games that are so prevelant these days. Check out the trial and make up your own mind.
In a fading world devoid of color, the ghost of Nikola Tesla reaches through the Ether and invites you on an incredible adventure through time and space.
i don't normally write reviews, but I liked this game so much I felt compelled to do so. When I read the reviews about too much dialogue I almost bypassed it as I don't like excessive dialogue or reading myself. However I am a science girl by nature and I am intrigued with Tesla and free energy. I decided to give the free trial a shot and I was really glad I did. I did not find the dialogue overly irritating and the references to the engineering and mechanics did not bore me at all. In fact I was so engrossed in the game I stayed up until 2:30 a.m to play! So my conclusion is that while this kind of storyline may appeal to eveyone, if you like science and you like this kind of topic and you like mecanical side of things, give it a shot. I'm glad I did!
To the developers: I would LOVE to see a sequel!!!
