This game is unique, has many options for game types and created for all age levels. Visually, everything is large and attractive in colors. Lots of movement but slow enough so as not to upset those who could visually get off balance. Game starts off w/host on roller coaster ride into the infinity, wherein, we play the games. User can opt to play in 5 different languages and can choose different skill levels. Game options include visual, numerical, memory, word, altered images, see saw, left or right, or word confetti. Nice selection. User can opt to play in the challenge mode, or practice mode. There is a progress tracker for those who are so inclined to improve on their skill/speed. The game is set up w/achievement levels and daily tracker but I don't see how the user could be happy to play just a days worth and wait until tomorrow... once started you want to keep exploring and challenging. If you're inclinded to replay, you would do that in the pactice mode as challenge mode changes up w/each game. For me, the negative was definitely the background music but I suppose the younger generation would find that the music fits the challenge. No voice overs, just instructions (in large print format) prior to beginning each level.
I recommend this game!

While my purchase was downloading, I went to read the reviews and was amazed at the amount of early comments being so negative. I'm not sure what others expected, but I found in this game exactly what I expected from BFG. I didn't beta nor trial... I just bought the game immediately because I trusted that any game carrying the MCF badge would be excellent. I'm not disappointed !!!!!
I don't find Cassandra annoying, I don't find the gravity puzzle piece joining troublesome. I really like the opaque overlay aspect from EFR, and I really appreciate the effort applied to creation of having to search multiple locations for the HO inventory items. The video portions fit perfectly into the game and I'm spending lots of time immersed in the individual cut scenes as there is so much to appreciate.
I'm one to strive for perfection and I don't care now long it takes me. This 9th installment will have the same replay value as the others (though RTR will remain my all-time favorite). Love, love, love the hint as to the 2013 theme. Coincidently, this month I replayed Huntsville, Prime Suspects and will get back to finish replaying Madame Fate after Shadow Lake is done... I figure that'll be in 5-7 days :)
I recommend this game!

If you replay to attain the gold at each stage of a level, you get bonuses that make the game easier when determining which way to go with your run to clear the board.
Since you have to replay all 10 stages if you exit a game in progress, I discovered that if I go to the store before leaving my chair, when I come back, I can then just click on 'back' and continue on with my game.... otherwise, leaving in the midst of play, my screen would lock up, no mouse.
I recommend this game!

I typically find solitare as a challenge so I played thru the demo with the intent to achieve. I kept the volume low enough to hear the twinkles as bonuses were awarded. This game is not unlike other games... where you collect by uncovering cards to buy power-ups, etc. The background and card colors are pleasant and relatively easy to see. The screen change to see your achievements between levels goes quite quickly-- long enough to see the results--but quick enough to 'get on with the game'. The only negative I can relate to is the inability to see the number of stars collected as the game is playing, as collecting stars is a criteria to proceed to the next level. You can opt to play a relaxed version, but I chose the more advanced so I could test my skills. I will purchase the game and enjoy the challenge as this is definitely a way to keep the brain cells working :)
I recommend this game!
