Another great Dark Dimension game! A beautiful game with great artwork but strange looking animations. The music was beautiful. Even on hard the puzzles were not too difficult. I love the HOS. They keep the game from being repetitive. The story was interesting but not very exciting. I just couldn't get into it for some reason. The game was good nonetheless. The collectible music sheets/flashbacks were okay. I usually like collectibles but I wasn't particularly interested in these.
I recommend this game!

Very challenging, but a poor excuse for a story line.

Violett is beautiful and a little dark too. This game is for those who love a challenge. I must admit I had to seek a little help to complete the game. While the storyline lacked substance, the diary and it's characters were very creative and a bit amusing. The final battle was frustrating and I just couldn't seem to figure out what to do. I got it eventually but I was disappointed by the ending. Like I said before, poor storyline. Despite that, it is still definitely worth buying especially if you seek a higher difficulty.
I recommend this game!

I bought the CE right off because I have played the previous games and have loved all of them. Dark dimensions is one of my favorite series. Filled with puzzles and HOS that are partly puzzles themselves. The variation in the HOS prevents it from being repetitive and I love figuring out what goes where. I played on Hard and loved the challenge. The puzzles were not too difficult on Hard. As always, I love the achievements. They add just a little more challenge to the game. I love that they kept Rocky from the previous game and even incorporated him into the gameplay as a helpful companion. I thought the dog room was cute but I felt something was lacking. The dog dancing was weird and looked weird. Anyway, The house parts reminds of morphing objects which I love! The artwork, as usual, was on point and the music was quite forbidding and definitely fit the mood. I thought the story was pretty good, if a little bland. I really liked the bonus game as it gave a little more background but I wish they would have elaborated a little more on the main villain and the nelumbo cult. The bonus match 3 was a little random but enjoyable. Overall it was a great game. I don't know why people are complaining... Definitely worth the buy.
I recommend this game!

I played the first one in the series and loved it. "The Siren's Call" was a great challenge and a wonderful story. Playing as the curator from Cursed Heart you're asked to save a mermaid, another victim of Davey Jones curse, from a corrupt ex-pirate mayor. The graphics were beautiful and the voice-overs were well done.
I enjoyed searching for the collectables and fast travel from the map made the game much more convenient as there was quite a bit of backtracking. I don't usually enjoy having to backtrack but it made it easier that the journal kept a log of uncompleted tasks.
I think that there was a good mix of puzzles and HOS. There were different types of HOS as well, including FROGS, interactive, shadow, and the usual list. There was an additional feature to the HOS. You have the option to play a game of mahjong to find objects. The HOS weren't difficult but there were a few puzzles that proved challenging but for the most part were rather easy.
I do wish there was a little more the bonus game but for the most part I loved this game and I definitely recommend it!

As a huge fan of the Dark Parable series I jumped at the chance to play Cursery. BTG always has a very different and fun twist to the old fairy tales we all know and love. Cursery did not disappoint!
The graphics are absolutely beautiful as always and the background music was great and fit the game perfectly. There weren't many HOS which I liked because HOS get old after a while. There were puzzles galore with some being quite challenging and others were quite simple to solve.
Unless you play on advanced mode there is a map with fast travel. Unfortunately, there was not journal feature. I happy to see that they kept the morphing objects feature. The bonus content included a story about Humpty Dumpty. It was definitely a twist that I never would have expected, but still quite enjoyable! Overall it was a wonderful game and definitely worth playing.

I enjoyed this game when I first bought it and I enjoyed for a second time a few years later. It's very beautiful artwork although the people look a little odd the way they were drawn... I loved the storyline and how you could collect the diary pages that explained the backstory.
I loved the timed HOS at the climax of the story. The puzzles were not difficult by any means. As always I love the diary feature and I also loved the fast travel from the map. Overall it was a great game.
I recommend this game!

Like I said the game is a little repetitive but it does offer a small variety of puzzles and HOS. Range from FROGS to matching the scenes and list HOS. The puzzles were not difficult by any means. The artwork was nicely done.
It was difficult to find some objects. My main problem with that is that my screen is 17'' and the game did not expand to fit my screen. Unfortunately this happens for several games I own.
The storyline was ok, but I did not understand it all because I have not played the previous Cate West. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the game and I ended up getting the best ending. The game offers different endings depending on your score.
I recommend this game!

I found some levels more challenging than others. Of course I'm not happy until I get expert for every level. There wasn't much of a storyline. Just traveling around the world restoring cake shops.
The visuals were detailed but somehow strange looking. Like the skin color of the people was grayish. I did enjoy upgrading the buildings and they turned out great when finished!. The background sounds were a little distracting and kind of gave me headache. I found it very easy to accidentally click on the wrong items and have to start a cake all over again which can slow you down considerably. I would have liked it if the helper machine would have been available on more than one level. It was a good game.
I recommend this game!

The storyline is very childlike but still enjoyable. The puzzles were not that hard besides the mini-games that get progressively harder. Some of the hidden objects were a little difficult to find but if you ever get lost the hint will point you in the right direction.
The artwork was good. Characters all have voice overs. I noticed there was a very wide range of characters. Option t replay the mini-games from the main menu. Overall not a bad game!

I loved the first Stray Souls so I downloaded the free trial knowing that I was just going to buy it anyway. Lo and behold I loved it so I bought the CE.
The artwork is beautiful and the story is keeps you interested. The puzzles were not all that challenging and then you have your HOS. I liked that there was not too much backtracking to find needed objects. I think it is worth it to buy the CE as it explains the plane crash a little more and also refers back to the first game. If you haven't played the first I recommend it because you will understand the game a little better plus it's just a fun game.
