I really liked the previous Dead Reckoning games, but this one seem rushed, unchallenging and unsatisfying. I also am learning not to trust positive ratings when I look for a game.
I don't recommend this game.

While not a fan of hidden object games, I enjoyed the previous two Surface games because they attempted to play with story. However, this game was boring, poorly conceived and made no effort to link hidden object elements to a relevant purpose. What is the point of carrying around something that is both an anachronism and not needed to advance game play?
It was poor game with a weak story line. Do not understand why people found it so enjoyable. Have they played Myst or Drawn or Submachine?
I don't recommend this game.

Started this one thinking it was going to be a run of the mill hidden object game with a superimposed plot and unchallenging puzzles. Boy, was I wrong. I liked the interactive map to help when I needed it and story. More games like this would be eagerly embraced.
I recommend this game!

I wanted to review this game for two reasons. First, it had no artificial hidden object games which is a real treat. Second there were hints that the developers are fans of the old Sierra game adventures. With a bit more imagination and better story/plot/character development, they might be able to provide us with some fun games. I want to reward them for their logical game play. Next time, make it more challenging and a bit longer.
I recommend this game!

I wish it was longer and that the puzzles were more challenging, but overall the game, like its predecessors, is a lovely escape.
The story seemed to diverge from the one in the other two in the series, but I still enjoyed it.
Recommended for long car trips and rainy days at home.
I recommend this game!

We tried this game because it seemed to try to break the mold a bit. But the ending was trite, almost silly, and happened without any real build up to a challenge.
Game play was buggy, and some of the solutions or steps to the solutions left me scratching my head. I expected more for the amount I paid.
I don't recommend this game.
