I loved this game. It was a perfect combination of seasonal holiday, Christmas, mixed with a few fairy tales. The plot was written well so it wasn't confusing. Great cut scenes, voice overs and visual quality as usual from Elephant! My favorite part was the bonus content with the kittens...how cute!!
I restarted the game twice but I kept getting confused on the plot starting from the beginning. Was Bella's father prisoner and Bella stayed prisoner for his release? And she fell in love immediately? And all of the twists and turns with characters were as confusing to me as going back and forth between the scenes for shovels and plants and roses etc. There were two things I did really enjoy: the visuals and illustrations were great and the amount of locations was awesome. But the resolution for hidden items were fuzzy and especially at the end of the game there was an enormous amount of hidden items one after the other in what seemed illogical locations. I also wasn't a fan of the mini puzzles which some of them I really did not understand how to solve even with the info.
I love this game series! What gets me excited about them is firstly the plot: great romantic and haunting stories about love, murder and mystery! Perfect combination without being creepy or erotic. The visual quality is excellent, great illustrations and characters. I also enjoy the voice overs. Game play is very smooth and intuitive and I love the mini games, simple, minimal searching for useless items (that really irks me in other games) and fun logical steps. I'm looking forward to the next Knightstone!
My favorite part was the storyline. It was great solving a murder mystery dated somewhere in the 1600's. The characters were well developed and the voice overs were well picked. The visuals were fun, brought a lot of dark atmosphere. I enjoyed the mini games; just enough complexity to be fun yet not annoying. I was surprised at the end though. Makes me want to play the rest of the series!
I love this game. Reasons: Game lasted a few days which is great since most of them are short. Large game layout! I love the variety of locations. Puzzles were intuitive and fun. A few challenging ones. Plot is good. Illustrations are beautiful and detailed. Very colorful and moody. Cut scenes were fun and well designed, especially the finale. Good voice overs. Will probably play this again!
It's been years since I've played it and I still remember it!

I must have played this game over 4 years ago. I think it was my first Big Fish game and I loved it! It felt like a dark, eerie and slightly depressing game and I loved feeling like I was alone on an adventure to escape moments of being a prisoner and weird puzzles.
I played Raincliff which I love and The Void which was pretty cool but this was by far the only Mystery Trackers game which I really dislike. I felt the visuals and drawings had low resolution and the voice-over in junction to the videos were awful. The puzzles were ok but the clues and mini quests seemed really illogical at times, and during numerous times. I was also pretty tired of running back and forth from the island to the city. I prefer games where I advance to new areas.
I loved the plot: romantic, tragic and scary! The scenes were drawn really nicely with great detail but I really enjoyed the interaction, such as flashlight, using objects in items list together or a lot more interactivity with puzzles than other adventure games I've played. And the end is a major cliffhanger! Wish I had bought the collector's now.
I liked plots like this game: creepy atmosphere, a little depressing and slightly scary. I was stuck a lot of times during the game though and I don't enjoy being clueless so many times, therefore I put the level of challenge at excelling and part of the reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. The visuals were fun and dreary and the plot started out interesting with the missing girl but became a little disconnected when mentioning Indian rituals. Overall, still a good buy.
I loved the plot, made sense in a fiction-y way all the way to the end, plus I love some drama. The visual effects or rather the drawings look great, I loved the vivid colors and drawings and especially the movie clips. Played this without stopping!
