I finally got the "dash" to work MOST of the time. But then, I needed to access my Inventory. I have pressed every key on my keyboard, left mouse, scroll wheel and right click... no inventory. In settings, it show all the keys for a controller, but nothing about inventory for the mouse. So, I guess I'm gonna have to take a pass on this one. Glad I got the Demo. Too bad, they didn't support mouse play any better.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm probably the crabby old curmudgeon, but when will I learn that these games are never going to change. I keep hoping for something different, but it never happens. It's my fault and I will just stop purchasing them.
What grates on my nerves is that this is supposed to be a "dark tale" with a disturbing plot. Appropriate music and graphics... fine. All juxtaposed with the ever-present insipid comments like, "good job" or "well done." To further ruin the atmosphere and immersion into the game are the cheerful little sound effects when you find something or finish a puzzle.
I guess I'm expecting too much, but then there is the voice acting. How many ways can they pronounce Dupin? It's either overly done or cheerful or just awful. Maybe I should just accept that these are casual games that are just not meant for me who keeps hoping for something less insipid. But then again, I've paid $13 and $20 for other games which are just excellent in all those respects. They will just no longer be Big Fish Casual Games.
OK. I'll just shut up now! The fact is that these poorly done casual games are just not for me! I truly hope everyone else enjoys this one!
I don't recommend this game.

Don't waste your time with this one. Same music, same sound effects, same graphics... you get the picture. And the inane "clues" at the beginning of each puzzle? Really? Even the little bit of added fun and value of the 15 trophies advertised with the game would have helped. But they are nowhere to be found.
I would call this one a lazy recycled version of previous versions from this dev.
I don't recommend this game.

Got this game for when my grandkids come to visit this summer. I'm not sure who's having more fun with it... Grandma or the kids! Excellent!

This is a casual game remake of the original "The Mystery of the Nautilus" from 2002. The graphics are true to the original game. It was a point and click adventure game that was not particularly easy. If the previous reviewers were expecting a typical HOG or casual game, this is not it. Perhaps Big Fish should add something to explain this so people don't expect a typical new casual game.
That said, I'm not feeling a lot of love for this remake. It's been quite a few years since I've played the original Nautilus because it doesn't play on new operating systems, but I don't particularly like the 360° panning either. I also don't care for the arrows which make the game too simplistic. I'm not finding the items I need to progress in the game which are supposed to be there. Since there are apparent deviations from the original game, a walkthrough would be a great help. The original did not have any kind of hint system as it was a true classic adventure game.
Big Fish should include information making it clear this is a remake of a 13 year-old adventure game, so people are not disappointed when they try it out or purchase it. I'm going to give it a "yes" recommendation with the qualifier that most likely only fans of the original game will enjoy it.
I recommend this game!
