This is a fun game with good puzzles. As a matter of fact one of the big things in this game is actual jigsaw puzzles. You have to assemble a LOT of things. So if you're not into that, the rating might be a bit lower.
But there are a lot of other puzzles as well and the graphics and sound are good. I found the goblins' game in this one #a version of solitaire# much less interesting than the mahjong game in the first one. But aside from that this game is a lot of fun! :)
This is a big improvement from the first Dark Parables game. The plot was better and more interspersed with the puzzles. The puzzles were challenging and more interesting than the previous game.
The HOPs were still the "find the broken pieces and they create an item" type. I'm hoping the next game has some of those and some other types as well. Though I must say they were at least more challenging this time.
When it was first released I remember playing the demo and being very impressed by its uniqueness. Today it falls a bit flat especially in the plot department. While the plot is interesting, there isn't a lot of it. Very little exposition, means you basically run around doing HOPs and solving problems without any plot bits sprinkled in. It gets a bit tedious after awhile.
The puzzles they do have are interesting, and the HOPs are the type where you need to find pieces of broken objects which are then combined to form a new item. A little more variety in the HOPs would have been good, but overall it wasn't a bad game, just a bit slow for today's players.
This is a nice jigsaw puzzle game. I like that each level the pieces are different textures: wood, glass, cloth, etc. Replay value if you like trying to get three stars in every level. Nice game all around.
