Mahjong Deluxe 3 is a major disappointment for me. While I could choose to play in 3D mode, I found the cartoon graphics annoying. The backgrounds looked like they were drawn by a child and the mahjong tiles looked nothing like real tiles. It seems the developer could have given players the feeling they were playing with real mahjong tiles but just didn't want to bother.
Most odd was the fact that you can't create any player profiles. You just start playing. If another family member wants to create a profile so they can play as well, there's no option to do so. I can't believe only one of the other reviewers noticed this.
If you're the only person who's going to play this game, and as long as you like cartoon graphics and monotonous music, you'll be good to go.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm hoping this will be the last installment of the Redemption Cemetery series. I loved them in the beginning, but finding my way out of a cemetery in each and every game got old four games ago.
Graphics have gotten worse, they're not as realistic looking and seem to be quickly thrown together. The color palette used this time would be more suitable for a fairy tale game, with it's bright and gaudy colors.
Once again, this is another game not deserving to be called a collector's edition. We're offered nothing new or innovative and in fact, something was taken away. In the custom mode, we are now forced to choose between a quick filling hint button OR a quick puzzle skip button. What's up with THAT?
I was so hoping the devlopers had redeemed themselves by putting out a quality game this time, but I ended up playing only the trial version of At Death's Door. Everything was just so ordinary and despite all the hype, I did not find this game to be overly creepy or engaging.
I don't recommend this game.

If you are a big fan of the cheap animated cartoons flooding cable television, then you might end up liking this game.
The Inner World features poorly hand drawn graphics that are not pleasing to the eye at all. In fact, the main heroes are sort of drawn like a male body part. I can't be the only one who noticed this, but perhaps I'm just more aware of things like this due to my background. In one scenario, you're in a tavern, and the overweight lady bartender has her upper torso actually laying on top of the bar. Seriously, I can't be the only one who noticed this!
The humor and the visuals are intended for grownups in my opinion. I would not consider this game suitable for children. I love old computer games as well as some of you out there. Just not this one.
I don't recommend this game.

Since most computer games aren't made here in the U.S., people should remember that they are created in the language of the developers and then translated into English. I Know a Tale appears to have been made in Russia, so the live actors are speaking Russian and that's why the actors' lip don't sync with what they're saying. This is obvious to me, but I guess most reviewers here aren't aware of that.
This is a fun little game with live actors in the cut scenes. The story line is well written. Even if it is poorly translated in spots, I had no trouble understanding what was happening. Graphics are bright and clear. This is more of a light adventure game, so there are not tons of hidden object scenes or loads of puzzles. There was no map because you really don't need one. The music perfectly matched the tone of the game and the voice acting was fine.
This is not one of those stressful games that has you scrambling to find morphing objects, collectibles or other unecessary achievements. I Know a Tale is a simple, straightforward game that you can relax with while enjoying the story. So grab a latte or beverage of choice and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

The bad points outweigh the good ones when it comes to Beyond the Invisible. To me, the game was aggravating and so not fun. Here's why:
** Graphics are dark and grainy. Many items in the hidden object scenes are poorly drawn so you don't recognize them.
** There are no voice overs and no music, just an occasional sound effect. But if you think about it, there really could not be voice overs because people would be speaking gibberish most of the time due to the poor translation.
** Translation to English was horrendous and there were times I had no idea what the main character was trying to say.
** The hero is a little boy yet he says things like "The lower damper is wedged, but the door may expand from the heat." Such a large vocabulary and knowledge of science for a little boy. And he's supposed to be a little kid, but he can reach a large wooden beam chained to the ceiling.
** A little girl in a jail cell, has been walled up with bricks.
** The town elder is a woman who looks like a nun. She is evil and locks the orphaned children in a work house.
** There is a transport map at the beginning, but after almost an hour, the map stopped transporting. That was the final straw and when I stopped playing.
Honestly, there are just so many ridiculous or disturbing things about this game that I could keep on going but I won't. I just don't understand how people could rate this so highly.
I don't recommend this game.

Wow, what's with the Inventory section that won't lock down?? After several minutes of playing this game, I had to stop. The constant moving up and down of the inventory was actually making me dizzy. Plus, I couldn't concentrate on the game. This must not bother many people because I see lots of 5 star ratings. But as for myself, I just couldn't put up with the constant movement of the inventory.
I don't recommend this game.

Gosh, what a horribly depressing story. And the ending was abrupt. I think I know what happened, but I'm really not sure. You start out as someone going to your grandfather's old mansion but then you remember these "memories" that aren't yours. Or are they? I never really know where I fit into the story the whole time I'm playing.
This is an odd, old school game from 7 or 8 years ago. Graphics are grainy and the hidden object scenes are fragmented. You bop between two scenes finding pieces of objects to put together and use. Once that's done, you are given a "memory" to put into a locket. Then you solve a puzzle and then it's more of the same throughout the entire game. Very repetitious and it gets rather boring fast.
The puzzles in between are fairly easy but you can skip them if you want. The story just gets sadder as it goes along, and I found it worse than Ravenhearst.
Wouldn't recommend this one.

I downloaded this game knowing full well it was hidden object finding only. But, my stars!! How much monotony and frustration can one person take?
* The storyline sounds cool but the dialogue between characters is juvenile and silly. Of course, you can skip the dialogue but then you're just stuck with finding hidden objects, which are not interactive at all. Very old school.
* I played for an hour and a half and did not recognize even ONE so-called masterpiece. It would have been nice to see some familiar works of art.
* Graphics are poor & grainy. The paintings (HO scenes) are dark and objects are poorly drawn. They have drab, muted colors and everything just sort of melts all together. And if that's not frustrating enough, you get to listen to lullaby music in the background.
* Characters are cartoonish. At one point the main character comments on how handsome the police detective is. I thought he was grotesque and creepy looking, as are the rest of the characters.
* There was one additional feature which involved accumulating the money you earned to buy furnishings for your apartment. However, some of the furnishings were weird, like a ceiling light with a stuffed teddy bear stuck to it, and a strange shaped bean bag chair.
This is just one odd, boring game and it gets both thumbs down from me.
I don't recommend this game.

I have played straight hidden object games before, but none was as tedious or mind-numbing as this one.
There is no storyline, no voiceover, and no adventure whatsoever. You simply play the same HO scenes and find the same objects over and over. There are some puzzles to solve, but they are simplistic and repetitive. So, if you are not interested in a challenge and just want to zone out, then this is the game for you.
Graphics are actually not bad, but the only real highlight of this game is when it's over and you can finally Escape from the Emerald Star.
I don't recommend this game.

First, I played the first two installments of the Awakening series and thought Moonfell Wood was terrific. I think most of us felt this third game would be the grand finale of the series, but it was not. It was just a quick money maker for the developers. While the graphics and sound were okay, the puzzles were terrible and the storyline had me wanting to walk away from the game several times. The goblins in this game could easily have fit into one or two chapters -- they certainly didn't need an entire game built around them. And the fact that this game ended up being so short, really annoyed me. When I finished Moonfell Wood, I anxiously awaited the release of this third game to find out if Sophia would finally make it home and find her family alive. Now, I simply don't care.
I don't recommend this game.
