I loved how long, varied, and challenging this game was. I would have liked not having to depend on the map as much to navigate, but that was my choice -- as I'm sure the back and forth was much alleviated by being able to jump to locations.
I was really perplexed how I could still have a marker for a Place of Interest and yet the game finished in another location...?
For DURATION of play, this gets 10 Stars and it is beautiful, fun, and the puzzles were each unique, and the HOScenes were a breathe of fresh air! Will look out for more from this developer!!

I played this game off and on for a couple of years. I loved it. I would still love it... if the developer would upgrade it for most current Mac OS. Do NOT buy this if you have upgraded your Mac in the past several years... since 2010 or 11.
Very sad. I keep waiting to download an upgraded version, but apparently... it is money I spent on a game I cannot play.
I really love a game that makes me think. Sometimes I do get a bit overwhelmed with this one, but as someone else said - the challenges start our easier, and as each new element is added they explain how it works. This game REALLY requires the ability to imagine future results and you try to get through to the final room with a door. I am currently in the stage where I need to explode through a wall but simultaneously need to get out of the exploding room in time not to 'end myself'.
When you get tired of the HOG or simpler puzzles, come and workout your brain.... prevent Alzheimer's here!! :D
Highly recommend. (Prepare for some frustration, AND great satisfaction!!)
I have really discovered how much I love the challenge of a good strategy game. Along with Kingdom Chronicles, I am continuing to enjoy HOURS of play. Even after finishing, I am pulled into trying to get a max score on each level (not yet done!) and it requires THOUGHT and planning and strategy!

I love this kind of game when it is this well done. I have many, many levels still ahead of me, but each is, of course, successively more challenging. I try to take a look at the entire landscape before starting, but often I will end up choosing to 'run it again' once I've been through a course to improve my finish time. Fun!
