Excellent, well thought out and highly addictive time management game. What I loved about this game is that when you fail a level it is pretty easy to work out where you went wrong and tackle it a different way next time.
The level of challenge builds slowly allowing you to progress well without failing too often, but meaning the later levels are a really good challenge without feeling impossible.
The game is as much about strategy as being quick off the mark - I've found that my reactions are just not fast enough for some of the other time management games but I managed to finish this one and it was still difficult but refreshingly, difficult without being frustrating.
Good length of game with plenty of repeat value.
Very much recommended but I am warning you - soooooooooooo addictive!
I was hooked from the first 10 minutes of the demo. I enjoyed this game more than any I have played for a long time. It was creepy, clever and a good mix of hidden object and puzzles. Difficult enough to be fun but not so hard it was frustrating. A great balance.
Only bad thing - it ended too soon! The levels seemed to get shorter towards the end and I didn't want the game to wrap up quite so fast.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
Return to Ravenhearst is probably my favourite PC game ever and so I was very excited to see this sequel. Sadly the game is nowhere near as good as either of it's predessors, and although I did finish it I found it boring and frustrating.
Good points: I loved the morphing objects, challenging but not impossible, a nice twist on the HO genre.
Nice graphics.
Ran smoothly.
Lot of gameplay for your money (the same lasted a long time).
Bad points: The balance of gameplay was all wrong for me - too many mini games and not enough HO or point and click adventure-style play.
Mini games were samey and much too hard at times.
Puzzle solutions were often just a case of copying a number from somewhere else, not very clever/interesting. I hate having to write stuff down all the time - isn't that what the journal's for?
The promised disturbing scenes were not delivered. It was a bit sad and laughable rather than scary and disturbing.
Too much back and forth and I really hated the key puzzles, just filler!
The game seemed to peter out at the end and the last two levels were very simple/short, almost like an afterthought.
By Resurrection New Mexico instead - a cracking game!
