Not Dire Grove, but still very good.

I am a die-hard MCF fan, I've played all the games multiple times- my absolute favourites are Dire Grove, Return and Escape.
Sadly, the latest episodes were kind of disappointing to me: weak plot and characters, bad animations and voice overs.
Still "The Countess" is a welcome surprise: it proves Eipix CAN create an intersting story if they put their heads together.
The story of the Countess and the shade thing is finally something worth developing in a sequel . She can't beat Charles Dalimar, but has potential.
But please bring back real actors and video footage, these gave the old MCFs that eerie feel of twisted reality.
I recommend this game!

I've just finioshed playing the game.
It was lovely: spooky and dark, following the great tradition of the MCF series (i've played every single game except 13th skull- it's always the highlight of the year for me in terms of games)
I loved the colour scheme: purple, blue and red- beautiful, simple and eye catching.
They came up with a clever idea making reference to WWI, it sort of gave the game a different historical feel, moving away from steampunk.
I also loved the references to the other games, especially Dire Grove- it was nice meeting Alison again.
The only thing i didn't like was the animation of the characters. THEY REALLY SHOULD get back to LIVE ACTORS in good MCF tradition (Return to R, Dire G, Escape, Shadow L, 13th Sk). When i saw the nasty animation of the characters in Dire Grove Sacred Grove, i simply couldn't give much credit to the story. (since then, the characters look like badly handled puppets)

(based on the demo)
I loved the storyline of this game.
All Bigfish games are very beautiful and artistic, but since they are so many, It's hard to find fresh ideas. The mad sculptor and his living statues form a very interesting plot. I'm terribly curious what will happen after i buy the whole game
i loved the graphics, especially since they are hand drawn, and not CG (Iin reply to someone who commented here. MY MAIN REASON for playing BF games is their artwork, the second reason is the storyline)
The puzzles are great fun and challenging enough.
I recommend this game!

As always with Nevertales, the visuals are stunning, the music is haunting and the story interesting.
The story takes us back to the setting in Nevertales Beauty within, and we meet old friends, especially the little mechanical owl Gears, which we must fix right away.
Those who have played Nevertales BW will also love this new game.

i simply love the game. i only played the demo, but i am sure to buy it. the visuals are simply stunning and the story is very very interesting. i'm not a fan of vampire stories myself, but this one is exceptional. i simply can't understand people who gave it such a bad rating? what did they possibly see wrong in this game?
i played this after playing the new MCF demo. (i'm a great fan of the MCF series) but i must tell you, i found this one better. at least in graphics.
I recommend this game!

Reading the comments around here i got a bit concerned, Nobody seems to give this game a chance. Still, being a fan of MCF and having played all the games so far, i decided to play it anyway. To tell the truth i liked it very much; agree, it wasn't as great as Return to Ravenhearst or Dire Grove, but it was worthwhile! i always prefer adventure to hidden objects puzzles (there are so many of these games on Bigfish), and there were lots of live action scenes. the story was interesting, the actors cool, the graphics realistic. oh and love the way MCF. makes reference to previous games. i missed Charles, though (lol, i'm weird)!
I recommend this game!

Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

i'm very sad to see so many bad reviews. this game is BRILLIANT in terms of everything! of course, at times i would stop and wonder if the creators of the game were in their right minds themselves, not to mention me, playing it. lol. but, this game is Charles' side of the story and, if you've played the other two ravenhearsts you must expect some horrifying past for the main character in order to make him act the way he did.
oh! we finally get to see Charles Dalimar! masterfully acted by Dennis Kleinsmith! splendid! Charles is one of the greatest villains of all time. #alongside Hannibal, the Phantom, Dracula, Heathcliff..and any twisted murderer you could think of#
I recommend this game!
