I'm not sure when this game was released, but I was very disappointed that there is no forum for it in the Community section. Also, only one other review? Where are all the other RPGers? I know that a lot of us still haunt BFG, hungerly seeking these all-too-rare RPG offerings. Anyway, I've played the demo and enjoyed it thoroughly.
My only two complaints:
1. There is no way to adjust (speed up) the character's walking speed that I could find. That's usually an option.
2. There is no way to turn off the tutorial once you elect to use it (other than, seemingly, starting the game over). When I start a new game, I usually give the tutorial a try just in case there's something unique about the controls or gameplay that I don't want to miss. In this game, I found nothing new (as a seasoned RPG player) and soon wanted to be done with the tutorial, but no way to tell it, "Never mind!" It was quite chatty and quickly became annoying. OTOH, if you're new to RPGs, it's a great tutorial as it explains everything in great depth to get you started.
I'd recommend this game to both new and seasoned RPG players. The fun factor definitely seems to be there. Off to buy the full game now.
I recommend this game!

I found Bipo: The Mystery of the Red Panda to be a very enjoyable, engaging and entertaining game. It reminded me of the old games going back to the King's Quest and earlier (much earlier) games. It isn't terribly long - I completed it in an evening with a few breaks to do other things, but I definitely got my money's worth.
The game sends you wandering about, exploring places and performing small quests; first, to earn money (called oolongs) and then to discover the secret behind a mysterious necklace that you come by in a very scary encounter. There are a number of puzzles, all different from one another and fun to figure out. All were logical and none were very difficult.
There are only a few places to visit at the beginning; but, as you talk with the local denizens, they tell you about other places and those are added to your map so that you can visit them, too. The characters you encounter in the game are a hoot! I especially loved the tailor and the newspaper editor.
I found that using the mouse was very awkward and switched entirely to the keyboard. After a couple of scenes to get used to it, the keyboard movement was fast and accurate. I really recommend that anyone playing the game switch to the keyboard if they can.
As always, YMMV, but I highly recommend that anyone looking for something a little different give Bipo a try. He just might surprise you.
I recommend this game!

I've loved the Dana Knightstone series of games. They've been fun and ingriguing while offering a good amount of challenge. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about this new one. Admittedly, I've only played the demo, but it was so totally different from the others that I wouldn't have guessed that I was playing a Dana Knightstone game if I hadn't been told so by the title. There was no challenge whatsoever. It was so easy as to be boring. And, as much as I love dogs and other pets in games, what's with the "ghost" dog jumping up and getting things from heights where I can't reach them? Are we sandbagging so that we don't have to write additional programming to give me a ladder or a chair to stand on to reach those items? Come on, devs! As another reviewer stated: It's time to either retire this series or to step back and rethink the direction in which you're going. This was a total disappointment.
I don't recommend this game.

I really enjoyed playing this Dark Parables game. I've played all of the DPs and this is probably my favorite. The visuals are gorgeous and the music and voices fit nicely. The puzzles are fun and different, though I found them to be a little too easy. I was a little frustrated that many of the items you collect to use later are very similar. They're mostly oval brooch-type objects with lots of flowers and jewels. It gets difficult to determine which ones go where, especially after being away from the game for a day or two. That's definitely not a game stopper, though. As I said, I really enjoyed the game, and I recommend it to others who like a combination of hidden objects, puzzles and adventure.
I recommend this game!

I thoroughly enjoy this type of puzzle. I have the World Mosaics as well as a lot of other ones from many different developers on my PC, my e-reader, my phone and my tablet. I'm quite addicted to them. I had fully expected to purchase this game, but I usually demo games before buying. In this case, I'm really glad that I did.
Once the games increased in difficulty, I started coming across puzzles that required either guessing or using a hint to complete. That should never happen - these games are all about logic and the player should never ever have to guess. Nor do I like having to use a hint or two or three in order to complete a game without making so many mistakes (due to incorrect guessing) that I'm forced to restart the game.
Other than this issue, the game seems to be very well done. The music is in keeping with the game's theme of Halloween, the graphics are crisp and bright and fun to look at, you can use the right-click button to X out tiles (very handy), and the guide numbers fade out when you have them filled in (some don't do that and it makes gameplay a lot more difficult),
So, if the guessing issue doesn't bother you and you think that I'm just nitpicking ;-), then you may very well enjoy the game. In that case, please don't let me turn you off of it. It's just something that will annoy me all the way through the game, so I'd rather not spend my $ on it.
Happy gaming, Fishies.
I don't recommend this game.
