This is the third time I'll be waiting for the Standard Edition of a Collectors Edition. Nothing special here except collecting eggs and "something else". I haven't been able to find out what the second group of collectables are. There are no achievements, morphing items or anything else that makes this a special Collector's Edition. You can set the degree of difficulty in a custom fashion, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. There is plenty of hand holding with glints that tell you where things are as if you cannot find it on your own. This is made for the beginner of this type of game. The music is wonderful The graphics are beautiful The voice overs are clear and easy to understand.

I won't repeat what others have said. I agree with it all. I love this game, but, without the achievements and collectables/morphing items, it's just not up to snuff as a Collector's Edition. For the first time, I'm passing on this CE and will wait for the SE.

This game is a good game to relax with. The graphics are clear in some scenes, but somewhat dark and not as crisp in others as with more current games. - It does seem outdated but is still a good game.
- I didn't find the accents of the voice overs to be thick. Plus there are subtitles if you need them.
- The game has 3 levels of play, Casual, Advanced and Custom. I found that in order to use the Custom settings, you need to click on the radio button to choose that option but then also click on the word "custom" to get the personalized settings. You can select the difficulty of the HOS, Hint recharge time, Mini-Game skip recharge among other things.
- The music is pleasant and didn't seem to be repeatitive.
I would recommend this game and will get it with a game credit.

I found this to be well below par with the usual quality of BFG. There were several "bugs" in the programming when moving the cursor around. There were flashing magnifying glass images near where you needed to interact with something. The hidden object scene I came across was nothing short of hand-holding. You have to search for items, a FROG type game, which I love, but then there are outlines of what to do with the object once you find all its parts. And that's on the advanced setting with everything supposedly turned off. Sparkles showed where the FROG was and it stated in the settings that there wouldn't be that sort of help.
Not a buy for me. Maybe beginners would like this game.

I already have the mousepad so I won't be buying this game today. It's a good enough game to relax with. The "expert" level provides enough hand-holding with sparkles that I don't even need to try the regular mode. The dialog is corny and English is not the first language of the developers of this game. There are mislabeled items that you have to search for such as a "whisk" that's not the kind to cook with, and a "clock" that is not the kind on the wall or a desk. Other than those things, the graphics are good and well drawn. The sound effects and music are a bit annoying but with those off, the game is playable. This game definitely has the feel of a novice project for a new developer just getting their feet wet and, indeed, resorting to the basics for storyline and HOS's. There are many repeat items to look for in the HOS's. I would recommend this game for a beginner in HOG's or someone who just wants to sit back with an easy game.

I played 20 minutes of the demo and think I'll be buying it. However, for being in expert level, there's a little too much hand-holding. Items glow in the inventory when you can use them. Voice overs are good. Scenes, so far, are dark and hard to see details. Graphics are well done and movement around is smooth. Strangely, the cursor is not custom. It's a generic system cursor which detracts from the spookiness of the game. I would like to have seen a wolf's paw/claw or something of that nature. It seems fairly simple and not too hard to figure things out. In the 20 minutes I played, I had not run into any HO scenes of the typical sort and only one mini-game that was very easy. This will be a buy for me as it seems like it will be an easy game to relax with.

The creepiness factor is WAY high in this one. I love that. There is a mad man Sara has to chase down. The only part I really didn't like was the poem that is repeated that I cannot turn off when it starts. It gets tiresome having to listen to it. The graphics are great. Hidden objects are well defined. Sometimes a light is needed to see in the dark and the circle they give you is small but the object needed to find is easy to find. The music is appropriate and adds to the creepiness. There is a lot of rain and dripping noises, but nothing that seemed to be obnoxious enough to turn off. It's a little different seeing real people and then switching to cartoon drawings of those people and the actions they're going through. I feel it would have been better if the devs went along with having the actors play out those scenes. The voice overs are well done as well.

This is a pretty good game. The voice of the robot is a little irritating and can't be turned off without turning off all the sounds. The first scene finding things to build the robot is a bit irritating as well because every time you find something, the robot window pops up to tell you what you have found. But so far it seems to do that only in the first scene to build the robot. It's not so exciting that I played the whole hour. But played about 40 minutes. I'll save this game for when I need to fill a space on a punch card at the end of the month.

I lasted only 5 minutes when I was so frustrated with the first HOS. It seemed like half the items I clicked on had some comment that had to be made on it. I abhor constant dialog popups in the middle of a game. The music was nice and the voice overs were good quality. The one scene was somewhat clear and not cluttered. Some items are very small, but still not too hard to find. The scenes are timed with no option to turn it off. However, there seems to be enough time given so why bother? It's a good beginner's game.

I lasted only 15 minutes into the game. While it says you can skip the tutorial, you cannot. There's alot of gabbing and instruction. The time I spent was on 4 HOS in a row. No traveling, no storyline, nothing moving. The objects just lie there unmoving so the scene is stagnant. Some items are misidentified and are small. The game is timed which is a definite turnoff for me but it seems to give you enough time to find objects. I don't know what happens if you run out of time as I didn't bother reading the instructions. The music is repetitive and obnoxious. The graphics are clear and well drawn but this is a no-buy for me.
