I have to say that this is one of the best games I have ever had, in terms of beautiful graphics - scene after scene can take your breath away, in terms of gameplay which is challenging, hidden object scenes which can sometimes be fun, a really great storyline, and many hours of gameplay - it is a very long game compared to some, and very satisfying in terms of value for money. I really enjoyed the Nutcracker last year for many of the same reasons, so I was looking forward to this year's festive offering and I was not disappointed. Give this game a try, it is a must for fans of the genre.
I recommend this game!

I have been on the lookout recently for a Hidden Object/ Adventure game which is a bit different, having been a bit bored with the games in this genre the last few months which were all a bit 'samey' for me. This one ticks every box!!! Coincidentally, together with this game, I have also just found a few other interesting games which I have reviewed tonight as well, check them out - it's like buses, you wait for a while then they all come at once.
This game is not for a beginner in the genre. It is very dark and creepy, and in many ways complicated for a beginner. It is different from the previous Grim Tales in style, artwork and format. It does have a map and a hint which will tell you what to do next, but is no less challenging for that. In other words, sometimes you have to access the hint because it is difficult to figure out what to do next.
Alongside the main game, there is a mirror world which is accessible only at certain points in the game. There is quite a lot of back and forth but an acceptable amount to be challenging, which is what I was looking for - a game to hold my interest and a bit different. I love it!
The game is a reasonable length to keep you absorbed and occupied for a good few hours. The graphics are a bit different as are the various environments. If you want something that doesn't have doors requiring a key to open them and a different way of proceeding through a game, this one is for you.
I recommend this game!

This game has really beautiful graphics and contrasting environments. I have been a bit bored with the Hidden Object/ Adventure game genre in recent months, as they have all seemed to be the same old thing, and have been on the lookout for something a bit different and more interesting. This game fits the bill!!! It has everything - an inventory that is a bit different in terms of how items are collected, a different way of proceeding from one location to the other, ie. not always having to find a key to the door, and plenty of interesting characters. I recommend you try this game.
I recommend this game!

This is a nice tight little Hidden Object/ Adventure game which is interesting and quirky. It has fairly good graphics and interesting locations. It has the usual items to find such as the key to open the door, find something to eat for the homeless person etc. and is also not too difficult for a beginner for example.
I recommend this game!

Recently I've found Hidden Object/ Adventure games all a bit 'samey' and have been on the lookout for something a bit different. This game fits the bill. The graphics and inventory items look a bit different from the norm and the storyline is linear, not too much back and forth so far. There are also portals and I love portals which take you to a different environment. I haven't finished the game yet, but ventured to write this review to encourage others to try this one. I love it!
I recommend this game!

I highly recommend you try and buy this game. All the way through it has provided surprises and some of the most beautiful artwork I have ever seen in a game, especially after you reach the halfway mark and meet the artist. Some of the puzzles I had never seen before and were quite challenging, but very very interesting. My benchmarks are Dire Grove and Return to Ravenhearst, the likes of which have never really been equalled in my opinion. This game is high up there. It is not really like the previous games of the title, I think it is easily the best of them so far. I really liked the graphics and the music, have no dislikes at all in this game, thoroughly immersing and enjoyable.
I recommend this game!

This game will be excellent for newcomers to this genre of game - ie. Hidden Object/ Adventure. I say this because, as an experienced player, it is so enjoyable. It follows a logical story & sequence of environments, objects are not too hard to find, it is relatively easy to work out where they should be used, and the puzzles are not too difficult either.
As an experienced player, I am getting fed up with unsolvable puzzles, disjointed stories and a high level of difficulty, even in simple mode, which spoil some of the more recent games.
This game moves seamlessly from environment to environment, and has an interactive map to guide you to where you should go where there is something to do, and a good hint system.
I think this game is good example of all that is good about hidden object/adventure games. I recommend you try it.
I recommend this game!

This was one of the first games I played when I joined Big Fish. It remains my all time favourite. Don't be put off by thinking it is difficult. It certainly makes you think, but as a beginner in this genre of game I managed it, albeit by consulting the game blog a couple of times. The graphics, story and overall style of the game have not been surpassed in any other game in my opinion, although there are lots of other games with lots of style and very atmospheric and intriguing. If you like this, you will like the other mystery files games, the best one being Return to Ravenhearst, which is my second favourite.
I recommend this game!
