I liked the creativity of this game. I got through the first chapter without using a hint and passed all the puzzles. The game forces you to think and not click mindlessly. That said, the storyline did not make sense to me. I had to get used to the gameplay, and once I did, it was much easier to progress. I can understand some of the negative reviews, as there were some parts of the game where I had to use the hint button more than I would have liked. If the developer polished it up a bit I think they have a winning formula. The game guide was atrocious. However, I look forward to more games by this developer.

I kept looking at the download stats for this game and wondering why people were downloading in spite of less than stellar reviews. It is a good, cute game, mildly challenging and just right for the season. Play it if you have trick or treaters in the area. We do, and we must put our candy out and socially distance while keeping an eye on things. A little breath of fun.
This series has upped their game. I loved playing it! Give it a chance. Sometimes I had trouble following the story but it made sense at the end and I was given a choice. Can't wait ti see what that means.
I am surprised at the negative reviews. I found the HOPS challenging. Yes - the minigames could be easy. I thought the story was great and the characters well fleshed out. I consider this an 'adult' game with high fantasy elements. I also like dark and mysterious games. I always go for story - if you like a good story with believable characters then this game is for you.
These are some of the few games that I keep re-playing. I personally do not care if I have a custom option and that is not a deal breaker for me. I do enjoy the gameplay and the stories.
