The Around the World series is one of the best in the Hidden Object genre and this is a great addition. It fortunately keeps the same gameplay basics, since it is a series and the game uses a proven formula. It does have fewer of the extra identical objects to find than in games 2 and 3, so that is my only complaint for the developers.
This was an instant buy for me since I loved the first Around the World: Brazil game. There are multiple side items to find in the main scenes, so there is more to look for than just the items in a list. Rating is not based on between-scene puzzles but they can be skipped without timed delays. AVI Games has become my favorite HO game producer and this is currently my favorite series they make.
This is an exclusively hidden object game, which is my preferred game type. The developer continues to improve the playing experience for this pure hidden object game format.
There are variations in game scenes in how to find things, not only word lists of objects which keeps game progress interesting and fun. Between scene puzzles are not too difficult and can be skipped without penalty.
I like the game a lot and am glad I bought the CE.
A new format for Hidden Object games that I really liked. It keeps a focus on finding Hidden Objects and not on just switching between scenes to create an adventure. The adventure part is mostly guided which prevents guessing of what to do next. I hope many new HO adventure games adopt this style of game play.
