I won't go in to the story here as many reviewers have done a great job before me. I cannot comment on the voiceovers/characters as I play all my games silent. Those American twangs are too much sometimes and it puts me off.
Purchased and played the SE version. I thought the puzzles were fun and the HOS were OK. I enjoyed the storyline - five princesses who seem to have been replaced by imposters and Fairy-tale land is failing bigtime. The wicked Queen has been the initial instigator but it has all got out of hand.
There are various adventures to explore, along the way you collect parts of a page of a fairy-tale. When you get all the parts of the page you move on. After three pages, I got to meet Gretel at the end who had the original fairytale book. I replaced my three pages and voila the game was over. What about the other two princesses?????
Can't believe this only took me a couple of hours to complete. Good fun but too short.
I recommend this game!

I am an avid reader of reviews before purchasing a game but normally never write them. I have just finished the game and enjoyed the storyline, hidden object scenes and puzzles. A little simple but enjoyable nonetheless. I am so disappointed in the ending however. I felt the story was over before it had really reached the climax and thought I had at least another half hour to go. Very disappointing.
