This game requires you to think a little and play a lot-- on the smart phone that the game gives you instead of a journal. Outside the Hidden object scenes the hint indicator, a cat is useless. You do have to think a bit and explore to find out where to go next. OK, I can live with that. What I can't live with is the fact that you are apparently forced to play the smartphone's games and beat the score of the maniac who is sending you mocking messages in order to advance past the gate in the basement. If I wanted to play arcade type games I would only play arcade type games. I hate it that I have to waste my time beating the maniacal nut job who is sneering at me on the phone. Thank goodness I used a coupon for this game.
I don't recommend this game.

I was really getting sick of Big Fish's supernaturally themed games; sick to the point that I've stopped buying as much at their game site. Then along comes this game from a developer that usually doesn't disappoint. The game is a pure adventure and it took some getting used to, I'm not usually a purely adventure fan, but once I started I couldn't stop playing it. If you want a game to hold your hand, this isn't it, it's not very challenging but I give it 'A' for being different. This game I'm going to buy.
I recommend this game!

As usual, the Fairway series delivers another really fun and addictive game. My only complaint was that the game wouldn't allow me to buy my first booster pack-- a technical issue with the game. I guess its just as well because this is of course another of those pay as you go games. I still find it hard to shell out real money for a game more than once. Probably why I'll play cautiously! For those with deep pockets, go for this game because it is as habit forming as all the Fairway games.
I recommend this game!

Like all the Gardenscapes games I enjoyed this one, just not at this site. Some games you're willing to pay for the CE and this is one of them. I'm puzzled that certain games like this one, the Scruffs return of the Duke, the Great Wall of China and I won't even talk about the last Flux Family Game, the Ripple effect that looked like it began as a CE but was reduced to a SE are on BIG Fish only as SE. When I can, I go elsewhere to buy these as CE's. They're worth it.
I recommend this game!

I've read one review where they said it was better for kids. I don't think they played past the attic level if that's the case. This isn't a game that will hold your hand at those levels. You expect to find what you need in a pile and go on from there. In this game, you had to find the pile and in the case of one item, you had to find it without there being a pile at all--figure it out for yourself. I finished it, I didn't find it too dark or the items too small. Strange game. Interesting but weird.
I recommend this game!

This is a very good game. It is solid entertainment that lasted me about 6 hours-- a great value for a SE. Story was good and music, well, I'm no Jazz fan but it didn't bother me to leave it on. I hope there's a sequel, it was worth it.
I recommend this game!

Yes, there is a lot of reading and not a lot of hand holding. But, if you read carefully and use the hint button and think a bit, you can get on in this game. I'm not much of a point and click gamer but I liked this one and purchased it using a game credit. Yes, it's pretty obvious that English is not the first language of this designer; but the phrasing errors did not affect my ability to understand and play the game. Try it for yourself.
I recommend this game!

Great graphics and a storyline that kept me guessing until the end. This is really one of those games that you have to buy the collector's edition of because the ending will make very little sense without the backstory provided by the bonus chapter. Here's hoping the developer gives us another!

Nice graphics and mildly interesting storyline. The hog junkpiles didn't close when you finished them. Some of them you came back to multiple times to pick up objects needed to continue the game. It would have been nice though if they had closed once you were done. All in all a good game with decent length. No complaints here. Not great but a good game.

I love sci-fi, and I love time travel themes and I really wanted to like this game, but I can't. It is slow, painful work to try and play this game. The cursor doesn't always work when you click on an item and some items appear to me to be mislabled. The hint button was more absent than present and my goodness what I wouldn't have given for a skip button in some of the puzzles! If you want to play a time travel sci-fi story, stick to the Flux Family games; they do it right.
I don't recommend this game.
