Sometimes i ask myself, whether gamedevelopers do know anything about their audience. Same with this game. Great start, great graphics, one really wants to get into the game. And then... two HO-scenes almost after another with tiny spots to identify? Really? You expect that this makes me want to go on with playing??? I cannot understand why the simplest truth is not known by developers: you must people want to go on playing and if you start in the beginning already with two of these blurry-ho-object-scenes - this just doesn't work. Why is this so complicate to understand? It made me quit the game. I maybe interested in playing a game, but i'm not willing to fullfill foolish ho-scenes with a hintbutton taking at least 10 seconds and no possibility to skip this. As long as developers don't get these simple facts, they don't get my money either.
This is a really strange game concerning storyline. At the beginning i thought, i understand, what it is about and could follow, but the more the story went forward, the less sense it made to me. I have no idea anymore, where this should lead to. Unfortunately this takes away a lot of the gameplaying fun, as the storyline seems so unreasonable and in confusion... strange story, really!
About the only thing i could think of to criticize, i would name the repetitive pattern of the music. Everything else is just wonderful. The graphics are very interesting and well drawn, i did especially love the scetch-like pictures in some of the minigames, but the whole scenery is wonderful, the house in the woods for instance. Gameplay is smooth, story is interesting, and the whole game has a unique sphere, which i liked very much.
I enjoyed playing this game very much. The music is outstanding, the graphics were fine, the potionsmaking had something as if we ourselves are wizards, the story is interesting and long! I'm glad i bought this game. What i really find interesting as well: it loads very quickly, quicker than other games and the gameplay is very smooth. Thanks for having given me such a nice time while playing, developers!
get beyond the beginning of the games of this developer. They always start with such frustrating actions that i quit before i even learn the story in detail. I do not understand, how a game can start with the absurdest actions to take instead of first getting one interested and then start to make the gameplay complicated. Thus i alreay quit, after having to get a rope to get a lantern - whereas this was to get in order to??? The main goal was to keep the carriage from getting to fall down, but i just don't get, how these actions are combined... the too many questionsmarks in my head give me such much un-pleasure of playing that i give up. Too sad, it might have a real interesting story behind all this. And this lately unfortunately happens for me with every game by this developer :-(
This game is great and the reviews here don't do it justice. It has a great storyline, really great graphics, very individually painted persons, i really like that feature. It are not the common "oh, i know, you are intended to be seen as a person"-everage faces, they all have individual faces. And the lip-synchronity, when they are talking is amazing. Music is fine, hint is fine, mini-games are very interesting - i don't know anything one could complain about! I just fell in love with this game! Thanks, developers!
This game gave me lots of joy and peace and happiness while playing. It's story is wonderful, romantic and kept my interest till the end (and the game to free them from the spell, is just great!) and i also loved the music, it really fitted well to the scenery. Oh, and i really admired the graphics, i lack words to describe the sphere they created which so much helped with the romantic flair of the game. I have only one wish left: please, let us collect the puzzle-parts we missed in the main game as a goodie in the bonus-part. I'm always disappointed when i did not see all during playing. But what a great game this is. I was very happy to play it!
Sometimes games surprise you. The ancient Maya-like setting first got me to not play this game as i already had seen too many games with a setting like this. But then i did the trial and - what a wonderful game this is! Great graphics coloured wonderful, interesting story (can't tell too much about it, but is has some unexpected twists), very smooth gameplay (which is not easy to achieve, i know!) You don't walk around with too much in your inventory, all you find is almost directly used, nice HO-scenes, the music is fine, the voices are good ... to me this is an excellent built game and i enjoy it very much. Good that i did the trial, which i also recommend to every player before buying.
What happened suddenly to this wonderful serie??? Why did they took all the colours and light out of the graphics??? It is the sadest and uninspiring game i played in a long time... very sad, i loved this serie very much, used to enjoy the storyline (which is also good here, but unfortunately not met by all the other) - please developers, bring back the colour!!!
This game did not get me. For me the pictures are way overloaded with bling-bling and christmas-stuff and it felt not right.. not like christmas-spirit... the world of oz maybe something really us-american - at least it did not catch me, who lives in Germany and we don't have this as a collective memory in our literature... Play the trial and decide for yourself, whether this game is for you.
