I actually bought this game by mistake, but figured it would be ok.
For the most part, it is ok. Unless you encounter some really annoying glitches.
It is very obvious from the beginning who the bad guy is-even before he does his bad guy stuff.
Then you've got to do all this stuff for characters who cannot help themselves.
It is very predictable as to what happens when you finally reach your goal.
I do not even want to bother finishing it or playing Bonus.
I don't recommend this game.

I will admit this right now. I did not finish the demo.
Like sportygal and a couple of others, this game just had
some no-no's.
First, the stupid arrows. Do we need a constant reminder of how to go back to where we came? Or forward?
Then, there was the constant telling of what needed to be done next, even if it was obvious.
There is a fire-so get the bucket. Black bar tells you that it can be used to get water (duh), which you can use to put out the major fire, that you know will not work, but game says to do it anyway and guess what, no, not enough water (you think?)
I cannot stand that kind of hand holding stupidity.
Also, I am sick to death of fixing broken zippers.
Maybe it gets better, but I will not find out.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on the demo:
Played this game on Hard Mode.
For those who do not like black side bars-this did
not fill my screen, but I really didn't notice at first,
was to busy playing.
Absolutely love this gem of a game.
Voice overs are excellent-narrarator's voice reminds
me of Jim Dale (who did narraration for tv
show "Pushing Daisies")
H. O. scenes are interactive, not overly difficult
to get through and alot more interesting than just
finding objects.
Game flowed smoothly, I didn't get stuck wondering
what to do next.
Your character is affected by what is going on, which,
to me, makes sense.
Graphics are clear.
A definite buy.
I recommend this game!

It starts out challenging, the last 2 or 3 children (it was
the one after the monster under child's bed) that it
was no longer a challenge and got easy.
I did enjoy it, but I felt the first was more scary and
didn't lose momentum.
I recommend this game!

Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

I feel that BF has done an excellent job with this.
It still has that "Ravenhurst" feel to it, as far as
the graphics and the setting is concerned.
But it is also updated and I'm so glad that they are
thinking outside the game box with the morphing
objects rather then the Hidden Objects.
I was surprised when I read from others that there
was no different levels, but once I started playing I
really didn't care because it was perfect for me.
This game makes me think about how to solve
problems and is challenging enough for me.
I recommend this game!
