Instead of saying "Wow, it's over already?" - it was "How much longer does this demo last?". I hoped it would be fun, but it was rather boring and uninspired. Same thing over and over without any cute graphics. Color palette was very dreary and sometimes hard to make out the objectives. It's not a terrible game, but not the best either. I certainly wouldn't go for the CE.
This isn't the worse game you'll ever play and it can have quite a challenge at times. There are several levels I've had to start over several times before I worked out which order to do things. The first few levels I think had terrible graphics, as it looked like a childish painting; but the further on I went, it began to look more like I would expect it. I have run into some bugs, but finally had to call it quits on level 39. There is a "mound" on this level that my little guy started hammering and never stopped.

Adelantado and Roads of Rome, shaken not stirred. Probably the best game I've played in a long time. Keep up the great work and bring us some more like this.
I have skipped several of the offerings from this designer, but occasionally they have one that is fun to play. This one I wanted to give a chance, even though the trial game didn't go so well. I had hopes it would pick up as I got used to it. I bought it anyway and now have buyer's regret. Some levels are quite difficult, even on the beginner level, which is crazy. Mostly what is annoying is the excessive amount of character dialogue that you must click through when the skip button doesn't work, which is hit or miss. It's a ridiculous story line anyway, but sooo much of it. Also it's difficult to click the right spot in many of the stations, triggering the pause screen every time. You have to be very particular where you click. It's very frustrating. Anyway, I hated this game. That's all I can say.
This game is pretty good and you could certainly do worse. That being said, I wouldn't pay full price for the collector's edition. All that you get are 3 wallpaper shots. Whoopee... Buy it on a great sale or wait for the regular edition.
