The New Yankee series is my absolute favorite (12 Labours of Hercules is a close second). I own them all and have played them multiple times. Can't wait for the next one!
I compared this one to the only other one I own (Northern Tales: 5) and it just feels like a bad copy of the characters. Felt like I was playing a really old version of the game. I didn't play much of the trial.
I guess I'm spoiled by the New Yankee/Incredible Dracula games. I didn't last 5 mins on the demo. I don't mind a challenge, but this just had too much clicking and too many steps for me.
I like the game, very challenging, but I like that.. so I bought it right away after the trial expired. My issue is that the game won't load level 41. It just sticks in the loading process, even though the "goodie ring" still goes around, the load bar doesn't move past 1/2" or so. Don't like paying for partial games. >:(
At first I thought I wouldn't care for this game, but I changed my mind quickly. I agree that the barrels load very slowly, but that makes it even more of a challenge. It's not a 5 star TM game, but I think it's worth playing. I may decide to purchase with a good coupon.
I love TM games.. but this one was lacking in every aspect except being challenging. It's practically unplayable it's so challenging. It's a no for me, uninstalled after 15 mins of trying to play it.
The ove-sized graphics were just WEIRD. This is sub-par, IMO, compared to the regular Hercules games which I am assuming this is a spin-off from. I didn't play long at all, because the game play just seemed wonky and off putting... and I am a big time management game fan.
I love time management games, and this one was enjoyable for me. Nothing fancy or unusual, just a good tm game to destress with. I plan on purchasing it in the future.
