This was fun, clever, snarky (I love snarky!), and beautifully drawn. The conclusion was great--the two main (female) characters were better off than at the start. The only drawback: between each action segment was a scene where one or the other character gave a joke--and these jokes were repeated throughout the game! Please have enough one-liners written so that each transition has a fresh one rather than repeat a few over and over. If you can't think of new ones, just do new drawings in their stead. I hate when games do this. It killed me to rate this a 4 and not a 5, but the game was so clever otherwise.

I enjoyed the very first Phantasmat game very much, but each one since has become darker and drearier. It was hard to get started--to find the rhythm of the game and to find spots where you can dig in. I've noticed that more and more, too. These characters were more than a bit sick, and there was an underlying theme that this "sickness" continues through the family--not too enlightened or hopeful.

The story is very engrossing from start to finish. The ending chapter of the main story was just super, and the bonus game stayed honest to the lessons of the main story.. Graphics and audio were very good as well.
I recommend this game!

This is one of the best games I've ever played (and I've played a lot). It took longer to finish than most games I've played because there is so much packed in the storyline. The graphics are good and detailed, the various worlds visited are imaginative and logical, and the winning is satisfying. This is better than most collector editions I've played. I remained interested to the very end. I hope they do a continuation game soon. The map was very helpful in finding the next task, especially when you were moving around between dimensions/worlds. This was a comfortable game to play.
I recommend this game!

One of the best games I have played. Very strong in storyline, graphics, and sound. Strong bonus chapter as well. Didn't lag anywhere.

I was extremely bored, and when I saw the bonus chapter was more of the same, I deleted the whole thing about five minutes into the bonus. The only decent thing was the sound. The visuals were like looking at a lot of storyboards, which certainly saves money on drawing out scenes. It relied on stereotypical characters in the strange, odd swamps of Louisiana. Ugh. I usually love Mystery Trackers, and this is the first pan I've ever given, but please, don't waste your time or money on this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I really liked this game. The help button was especially nice--you didn't have to keep clicking it back through the screens to get you where you needed to go because it would direct to what direction you needed to take next. The illustrations were good, and I really liked the story line. I'm glad I bought it.
I recommend this game!

This game has a very intriguing storyline with the main characters being fully developed for a game. The bonus game actually gives the background of how things started--one of the best uses for a bonus game that I have seen. The gameplay was quite varied, which made things more entertaining.
I recommend this game!

I played the Collector's edition, so there was also the extra story. Both stories were very well written, and the play was engaging throughout as well. Many games seem to have points where the stories lag in lieu of time-fillers, but the plot was vivid throughout. Both adults and children were strong characters. Most enjoyable game I've played for a long time.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed Plagiarii. I read the comments from the others: usually when a game gets poor ratings I pass it by, but the comments made by a few of the reviewers intrigued me, and I'm glad I went ahead and bought this. I played it all the way through without trouble.
Yes, it is mostly hidden object, but I'd say that they were "fair" in that each was distinct and not hidden in shadows. They can be quite small,so if size or resolution is a problem for you, this might not be a good choice for you.
The story moves through different locations and times, but each chapter is self-contained and moves along pretty quickly.
It was nice finding a game that wasn't a memory hog for a change, and there was nothing too sinister or icky.
