I love the visuals on this game and the different mini games which are new and unusual, like tilt a board and one that you can rotate the base and see different views of the object.
Some are easy but most are difficult - - to me an average player. I've had to use the help on every game except the mini-games.
What I disliked was that they would miniaturize an item and place a red umbrella into a red background as an example. Some were mere dots until I clicked on it with parts of it obscured into the background. Only a few were easily visible.
I don't mind hiding it - after all that's why I play - but to make it teeny tiny and the same color, I call that unfair. Plus most of the games are dark/night time scenes so parts of the screen are not visible and they'll place something in the darkness.
How I played was clicked everything I saw. And eventually as new items are added, I'll score a hit so I'll click on something forever.
The bright or day light scenes made it reasonable fair. So it'll go from super hard to average.
I'll play vers. II if it comes available. Like I said it's pretty. Some stuff are silly like clicking on something just to play music....and the whole decorating the bathroom was kind of silly since it was like a 'keep them busy' kind of thing.
I recommend this game!

This has to be one of THE best HOG I've played. Love the bright, easy to see objects. The graphics are outstanding and gorgeous. Creators have great imaginations and it's so beautiful and fun to play. For me a more beginner it was still challenging but still simple to play. I like how some of the mini-games the background could be slided with the left click to show more HO.
I think this would be simple for kids and as mentioned the graphics are so awesome that they'll just enjoy looking at the scenes. It's like looking at an awesome picture book.
Again, highly recommend.
I recommend this game!

Instead of the popular doom and gloom, hard to see in the shadows HOG this one is bright and sunny so far. I love the cool graphics and they're pretty. I am a fair to medium HOG player not an Uber player, I always play the easiest mode and no timer, and I found this just right, there were a few items I couldn't find but they were few and the hint was refilled quickly enough.
Some things I would change - give better directions to the mini puzzles. Or at least REAL directions. Not "put them in order". In order of what and how?? I could not figure out the colored ribbons on the filing cabinets, finally got that the box ribbons had to match the ribbons on the cabinet.
Also you can zoom in/out with the mouse wheel, and move the scene by holding the left click. This would help since such of the objects are miniaturized and faint. No directions for this either. I also got stuck in the teapot and egg in the white rabbit's room.
Otherwise this is a very enjoyable game . I can see the hate this poor game incurred, probably from uber players. If you're not one of those this should keep you happily occupied.
I recommend this game!

I've got all the Manor ones. This one is not as good. Please note that non-American terms are used for objects, I think it is British English. Jerry Cans are gasoline cans, three combs a hair brush is considered a comb, for three gears it took a set of pillows plus the regular metal gears. there are some other quirky things too.
They also tweaked some of the rooms from the other Manor games so it looks a little different but the Toy/Kids Room, the Veranda look most similar.
The storyline is most boring and I could care less about the main character, I don't even know her name. At least Austin was funny this one is not. Mini games are really for kids, couple of finish painting the portrait which is using mousing over a painting and it just colors it, no challenge, ho hum. The other is to connect the house's electricity grid another uh duh game.
The beef I have with the mini games is that once it goes into that mode you HAVE TO complete it to move on. This is a pain when I just want to exit the game. Some allow you to skip but some don't, so you're locked in. That's stupid. Every game should have an exit clause.
Also the pets in the game, a cat and a bird are not much interactive. This game feels like the prototype for all the Manor games which followed. Like the 1.0 version, the graphics the interactions are not as good as the Manor or Barn series.
I would have priced this as a much reduced value since you're not getting the same quality as the others.
It is still my speed for a HOG and unlike all the bad lighting (dark and shadowy) HOG games out there this at least is bright but I still need to lighten the screen to see those in the shade or shadow.
I recommend this game!

No explanation on how to start the games, I just stumbled around and then once I started playing it was fun. But I could not find an exit button. I moused over the top and nothing pops up or anything. Spent another few minutes how to get out. Some of the options are junk games. Too much in one. I like the game not necessarily the story lines or the creator who is bizarre.
It can be fun just a hassle to figure out stuff out.
I don't recommend this game.

Firstly I am NOT into hectic TM games like the Dashes. If you love going crazy this is not the game for you. It is much more chilled and one can take their time to build up to it. I think any future games from this company will be compared to Bistro Blvd. To me, BB was more difficult in terms of trying to figure out the recipes. Since these are outfits it's slightly easier but I've made mistakes in unlocking the right sets. On my screen the black/greys, like the Expensive Suit set, is difficult to see so it took forever hunting for the sunglasses #which are w/ the Suit#. Also the Cos play set, with the cat's ears easily gets mixed with the hairbow. I love fashion, I love slower paced TM and so this is a perfect game for me. I do find the bubble noise annoying after playing the 2nd store. I also wish like in the forums, an upgraded dressing room and cash registers. With only one register/dressing room, the customers get easily irritated if they wait a few microseconds. I do like The Sims ability to change walls and floors. And since I'm on the 2nd store only, it's not like BB, where one has to figure out the layout to squeeze in the maximum amount of tables for guests. The first play is a bit difficult because like BB. one doesn't have a lot of money to upgrade and buy in the beginning to get the higher scores/monies. So this one is a little more hands on but like other TM games one has to move the 'workers' to place to place anyway. Again, I don't think this game would be for those who like a frentic crazy, adrenalin filling pace. It is hard to find these more slower paced games. But please don't think that this is dull, I find it quite challenging and FUN. I bought it 22 minutes into the demo.
I recommend this game!
