The entire Nevertales series is very good at creating inventive mini games and 'Legends' was no exception. It's very refreshing not to have the same old puzzles. The main reason I didn't give it five stars was because it was much too easy for me, hence the reason for the review title. Played at hardest level and still was no need to use hints or skips. I didn't even need to refer to the strategy guide, save once or twice to find a 'collectible' item. Even without help I was able to finish it very quickly, including the bonus level. (Able to get through everything within a single day, even with lots of breaks to do other things) And I always go at a leisurely pace to admire the artwork and such. Everything else was top notch. The vocal acting, graphics, and even the music were excellent. The story line wasn't boring for me but neither was it very original. Typical HOPA fare of 'gotta save a family member from the bad guy/gal.' :P
I'm not a huge fan of hidden object games but the way this game is set up reminds me of a few old point and click adventure games I've played. It has the typical elements most HOAG's have but the ability to shift from one character to another is a refreshing change.
The vocal acting is superb, the puzzles so far have been somewhat easy but not boring. I also like being able to choose between doing a hidden object search or a Match 3 game within the hidden object scenes. And though the achievements aren't overly original, I always like having something to shoot for.
So, while the subject matter isn't new by any stretch of the imagination, I purchased the game because I enjoy a good vampire game and there are enough positive elements to keep me entertained. :)
Oh, and I always greatly appreciate having a custom/expert player setting!

Within the first five minutes of playing the trial I was ready to purchase this little gem. This game isn't overly challenging nor full of spectacular graphics but it is unique and very fun, at least it was for me. :) It combines a little bit of rpg's like "Aveyond," point and click adventure, and time management along the lines of "The Island Castaways." The basic storyline follows a young son in search of his father and all the people he meets along the way and although this isn't a brand new theme it kept my interest alive through the 60 minute trial. Wish there were more out there like this!

Not big on doing reviews, but since I've got a tendency to root for the 'underdog,' thought I'd toss in my 2 cents worth.
This isn't a traditional Match 3 game; it's kind of a blend of Mahjong and Matching games. It did take me a few boards to get the hang of how to match up pairs, but after I did, was fun for me. There are a variety of tools you gain along the way to help assist in clearing each board and your goal is to earn money to purchase items for a theme park. This part was of interest to me only because of the use of famous landmarks as the additions, because that's really what you're doing, not working on a laying out an entire park, just crafting the landmarks.
I wholeheartedly agree with others who complained about the music, but luckily there is the option to shut it off and I usually am listening to my own music anyway, so wasn't a big issue for me. Time and un-timed, no option for widescreen, but filled my monitor completely, so no problem there. Graphics are crisp and the items on the boards were easy for me to see. There are a few basic mini games so far, a spot the difference which was very easy, (and I don't usually do very well on those things) and a simple puzzle.
All in all, it's been entertaining so far and I'd suggest giving it a try.. you might end up liking it. :)
I'd probably have given this a four star rating if the music hadn't been so annoying and you really were able to make a whole theme park and since 'half stars' aren't an option, have to leave it 3 instead of 3.5. And yes, I ended up purchasing. :D

Don't normally do reviews, especially after only playing the demo, but wanted to help raise the rating on this game. This game is a point and click, tongue-in-cheek adventure; lots of sly narration and excellent vocal repartee. The animation is well done and so far I'm greatly enjoying the storyline. As far as the difficulty goes, if you're unfamiliar with this genre, it will probably take a bit more time to figure things out. For those who have played old adventure games like Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Emerald City Confidential, etc, you should definitely give this a look.. and if you like it, be sure to let others know, since good adventure games are tough to find these days! *runs off to purchase*
