I like the game. It did take a while to 3 stars on every level, but got there this evening. The coins can be hard to find. I'm still trying to find on level 5.4. If anyone knows where they are, I could use a hand.
I really liked Weather Lord: The Successor's Path, so I bought this one without trying it first. I agree with the other reviewer who said it's nice the weather elements are always located in the same spot, but neither of us likes that we can no longer stack up activities. I also don't like that we are do longer able to assign more than 1 worker to the same activity (kind of takes strategy out of the equation#.
Further, we now have to click twice to create a building and are not able to click and start without clicking numerous times to get through the storyline narrative #I'm more into play than storyline).
To me, all the unnecessary clicking slows down the play and is a little tedious. I give it a Fun Factor of poor because I don't find the changes to the game enjoyable and I would not buy it again.
In all fairness, I most enjoy the challenge of setting the right strategy rather than seeing how fast I can click on actions, so take that into consideration when reading this review.

I am loving this game! It's so hard to find completely HOGs and this one is full of interesting facts. Thanks to pennmom36 for writing the review that convinced me to try it. I'll be going on to the remaining Big City Adventures games.
It was alright. Just seemed a little dull. Not much to it. You can stage actions which is good, but you don't know how close supplies are to being regenerated, which makes it difficult to effectively strategize actions. Also, there is no tutorial. I've done enough of these not to need one, but it could be problematic for the uninitiated.

Wow! This is maybe the best designed game I've ever played. It is certainly the first time I've bothered to write a review. I get so tired of games that make you sit thru their oftentimes ridiculous story lines every time or make you wait while they slowly add up your points or show you your awards.
This one actually teaches a bit about ancient Egypt and let's you move right through it without a lot of down time. The graphics are great and although it is a little slow getting started, it does pick up to a challenging point pretty early on.
My only comments are that it seems to tell you you have the best time, every time you finish a segment - even when you know that is not the case. Also I wish they would provide scores on time as well as points earned. I challenge myself on speed of completion and would like to see how my speed stacks up to others who play in the same way they compare my points.
