Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
I tried to play this game twice before relegating it to the 'maybe later' folder. MCF Huntsville was my first taste of hidden object and I never looked back. Because of that I really wanted to like this game. If you feel that way, and you like morphing objects, don't give up. Third time was a charm and I'm loving it now.
One thing I did want to comment on. I have seen a lot of comments about the disturbing nature of the game. Most people seem to be most bothered by either the 'hygiene' on the mother or the delivery of the baby. Mashing the pimples was extremely grotesque, no doubt about that, though really more from just squeamishness on the subject than the actual graphics accompanying it. The baby thing though, is so obviously mannequin that it didn't bother me any more than anything else done to a mannequin. As for the sounds accompanying that section of the game, back in the time depicted mothers had babies without modern niceties like epidurals and I imagine obstetric wards were filled with the sounds of screaming infants AND their mothers. But be forewarned, it is the background noise in the house that is the most disturbing to me. Women in pain while giving birth, fine. Children being abused, no. I turn down the sound when playing the house.
