I passed on these games a few times based on the title thinking they were for children or so-so; lesson learned. Out of "desperation" looking for new quality fun games, I tried one of the Incredible Dracula Collector's Editions. Wow!! Developers, I am IMPRESSED. Effort, imagination, creativity, humor, detail went into these. These games are not replicas of each other; each one "incredible" as you say. I have purchased every game, Collector's editions and those without with the exception of Chasing Love (didn't much care for). Useful accelerators take a while to appear but when they do, they are great and can make choices. When there are no mfg bldgs, use cache with auto-pickup. If you liked Northern Tales games, give Dark Carnival or Academy of Shadows a try; I wouldn't start with Game of Gods because it is hugely different (although good). Thanks developers!

Thank you reviewer for saying it was like Roads of Rome, this is indeed. I purchased immediately. All cute creatures seem to be there (especially the dog; in all these games, you completely captured the essence of a dog interaction). Kept what made these games great but also added creativity to all. Just a few levels in but I can tell I will not be disappointed. Hope it's long playing of course. Thank you developers!
Played along great until level 26 which was completely barren, no objects for play at all so later levels locked. Assume bug fixes coming. Purchased game so will wait to continue play and then reviews should be much better.

Thank you developers; you added helpful powerups, made jokers more readily available than the first release (which was a great relief) because they are necessary to meet goals of new levels. Storyline cute.
I thought this game was fun and creatively different. I REALLY appreciated that they made it longer playing than some others. Strategizing resources was not the challenging part; finding all the right steps to complete the tasks was (without tutorial). Fun.
I purchased all 3 of the Royal Roads games. This one, the portal, and the magic box. It would appear in the beginning that these are just tedious pick-them-up for task list games. However, that is not the case. First, note that there are numerous strategies to employ (either to make something that looks simple but tedious much quicker because there is a trick if you pay attention). On more complex ones, I tried figuring a couple out multiple times before finally going to google for youtube help. I thought these games were fun (since they can't make original quality northern tales fast enough). Another hint, if you are started out on a level with resources (small or large), there is a reason for that, it would be wise to determine why.
In my opinion, the puzzles, hidden objects, gameplay felt much like the original MCF's that made me a dedicated fan in the first place. I was unsure where this game would go with the legacy and was pleasantly surprised by the story. No game will ever be perfect for everyone, but all who worked on this, well done and thank you!

For those seeking intense challenge, this game may not be for you; however, there are tricky pre-requisites in the game play that make it fun though you can figure them out fairly quickly. Since there are never enough great games fast enough to satisfy individual preferences, I am always pleased when I find another fun one. I was not aware of this game until this sequel came out, so I will try the previous ones as well. I liked they had bonus play.
I had been hoping for it. On the positive side, this was a fun game and I give the developers credit for their efforts to mimic the original Northern Tales games. However, in comparison, this is not Northern Tales. The game utility and creativity to different different tasks are there, but a different software tool was used to develop this? It is like a lesser animated version of the original. The realism of the environment not there, the couple of animals to interact with were jerky/hostile vs. cute reactions. Hamsters nowhere. Characters look the same but not the same. I was expecting at least as good as the last ones. BUT, TO BE FAIR, if I was not comparing this against the original Northern Tales, this was a fun game and I am glad for a new one, thus the 4-star overall and fun ratings. Again, give me the high quality amazing game of the original with all the bells, whistles (developed in the same software) and I would pay 29.95 for the game (if cost is the issue). I realize it must be hard to develop quality games for everyone fast enough. I would still recommend this game just for fun. WHAT IS UP WITH THE TIC TAC TOE?? Cannot even complete the last game to get to the extras until a cheat is out there or I figure it out.
