This build-a-lot game is similar to the previous, but I am still finding it enjoyable. This game is made more exciting by NOT having a relaxed mode. You need to strategise more to play before the timer runs out, and then there is the challenge of obtaining three stars for each level.
There is also a garden gnome and a bonus challenge for each level which makes it harder still.
I like that there is no penalty for each time the level is played. If you found the garden gnome the first time around, then you keep that, and the same for the three stars and bonus challenge.
I cannot make a comment about the music as I usually play games with the sound off. I dislike talking heads during a game but they do not appear too often and disappear as soon as I click on them.
Play the free hour and make up your own mind. I bought the game after half an hour of play.
I'm not going to repeat a description of how the game is played as others have already done this quite well.
I loved this game but for one feature. The constant nagging General. Please leave this guy out of future games (apart from the story lines perhaps). And the bouncing green or red arrows! We don't need them.
The game is great fun and a challenge and I eventually had three stars for all levels but did not find all the caches. I would thoroughly recommend this game and would love to give it five stars, but for the General.
Please leave him and the bouncing arrows out of the next game - and perhaps a few more levels?
I have been waiting for a good time management game of this type and so was excited to try. A lot of running around collecting wood, food etc and building houses (only for the purpose of gaining an extra person). This game is much like it's predecessors. In an effort to make it a little different the designers have too much going on. Skeletons continually coming from all corners, towers continually coming down, the game screen divided into small sections with walls and boulders separating them. There seems to be no strategy involved except going as fast as you can and it's a relief when it's all finished and onto the next round. Which then turns out to be much the same. It is with reluctance that I say that I will not be buying this game. I couldn't even be bothered finishing the hour sample game as there was no joy in it for me. Sadly, I do not recommend this game.
I have enjoyed all the other Roads of Rome games and this one does not disappoint. Very much along the lines of the other games - gather supplies, rebuild, build the road, erect buildings which produce more supplies and so forth.
I also like very much the options of not using the game cursor and skipping all the dialogue. I like to just get into the game. Also those big pointing arrows that sometimes pop up when there is something new, now disappear very quickly.
There are also options of playing casual, normal, hard etc which means any level of expertise can play the game.
I would recommend this game. Not the best of the Roads of Rome series, but enjoyable anyway. Please keep these kind of games coming BigFish, it's been too long.
Childish graphics. The game involved trying to drag little characters from one square to the next, avoiding obstacles and such. On about level three no matter which way I tried to drag the drops they wouldn't move. At this stage it took me about five moves to exit the game which I immediately deleted.
Having said that, maybe younger minds will enjoy it.
The items to be picked up were highlighted in green so there was no challenge. No thinking required. Just click on items highlighted and the game played itself. Waste of a download.
I don't recommend this game.

Green City: Go South
Feel summer blossom as you develop the infrastructure of lush coastal lands. Build a flourishing Green City in the middle of the ocean!
Plan how to build your little area to meet the profit, population and ecology goals. Not as good as the first two Green City games which I absolutely loved, but still an enjoyable game. Not a ghost, goblin, wizard or vampire in sight which is a big plus factor for me.
I would recommend this game and bought it after using up the trial hour (I took that long because I didn't want to stop playing)
I don't know why but the first one was very choppy on my laptop. This one is smooth running, nice visuals and the music is soothing. I'm only into the first hour but have bought it as it promises to be good. I didn't put a rating for the storyline because I am never very interested, preferring just to play. Thank you for the skip button.
Looking forward to something that wasn't spooky or creepy, but how disappointing. Lives lost too quickly so gameplay was constantly interrupted "You lost".
Music awful and ball was hard to follow. Would've loved for this to have worked. Sadly, would never recommend.
Maybe the creators could take on board the criticisms and re-work it.

Loved it, especially that there were no talking heads around telling me what to do, Just straight out fun playing the games. Challenging, tons of levels, well worth the money. The sort of game I can leave for a while when I've finished it and then play it all over again.
