I'm currently halfway through, but ever since the first level my jaw has been in my lap. The graphics are just GORGEOUS!!! I'm a massive fan of the genre, and Demigods puts all the others to shame. The color, the animation, the ambient sound and the active noises are all just dazzling. I won't lie; it takes noticeably longer for each level to load than your average TM game, but it is soooo worth it.
The story is cute as can be (mythology purists please take note: this game was NOT written for you!!), the tasks could maybe be a bit more challenging, but I'm okay with that. I've had to repeat a couple of levels to get my three gold stars, but not to the point that I've wanted to rip out my hair and hope the Amazing Sipason has been working the TM magic on YouTube. At least not yet. ;-)
I am thrilled with this game. Here's hoping the developers have only just begun!
Princesses have a tendency to be kidnapped, and a service for lost royals is in high demand. Start your own Lost Princesses Agency and find your one and only!
Historically I've been a huge fan of the MKFTP series, and even though I saw there were quite a few negative reviews, I bought it anyway without the trial. I don't regret it; it was entertaining, but there's no question it does NOT live up to the very high standards set by its predecessors. The story is limp, for lack of a better word, the "floating islands" were probably a lot better in theory than they are in practice, and the actions necessary to complete the levels feel so much more repetitive than versions I - III. And something that just bugged the daylights out of me, even though it's not that important: when you hit your achievements and "build" your castle, it's not a castle. It's a collection of pictures that really don't make any sense together. Silly, yes, but I miss the thrill I got from the other versions as I completed the structure.
I'm going to go ahead and recommend it because, let's face it, Big Fish just doesn't put out many non-HO games these days, and it IS better than nothing. But if, say, it went up against a sequel to "Jack of All Tribes" (and where IS that sequel, Divo???) or another "Build-a-Lot," I probably wouldn't recommend it.
I recommend this game!

I'm still in the throes of working through this game, and I am here to tell you it is NOT easy. Not by a long shot. That said, it's also entirely possible to get gold on all levels, provided you're stubborn enough and are willing to take advice (Big Fish forum members and the amazing Sipason are knowledgeable: USE THAT!!!). SO impressed with Kingdom's Heyday!!!.
Probably not the most challenging TM game on Big Fish but LOTS of fun and really cute. The graphics are excellent, and the music is quite good and not intrusive. If you're a My Kingdom For The Princess and Roads to Rome fan, this is definitely one to add to your collection!
Big Fish is the reason I discovered Aldorlea. I love all their games, but Marine, aka heroine of Millennium, is my girl. This game is the first in a series of 5, and it needs that kind of time. There is SO much to do, just in this part, and what you do here will indeed help you in the next chapter. The characters are wonderful (Karine is probably my fave female character), I love the music (and I know I say that often, but Aldorlea occupies a chunk of my iPod), and I would strongly urge anyone who enjoyed Skyborn to give the Millennium series a try. Best part of this game? IT ISN'T OVER YET!!! <EG>

I'm not surprised this game has been broken into "Acts": it's MASSIVE. It's also very challenging and full of surprises. I strongly urge anyone planning to play it to also get the guide as it was invaluable to me when I played. The story is definitely different, and unfortunately that's all I can say because, about 10 minutes into it, it turns into something I certainly didn't expect and I don't want to spoil the discovery. ;-) I'm a big fan of Aldorlea and Ensorcelled, and they knocked the ball out of the park with this one: memorable characters, GREAT music, and a fresh and original storyline. Enjoy!!!

The graphics in this game are just amazing, the plot is original and fresh, and it's just long enough without being too long. The characters are well rounded and engaging, the music is TERRIFIC, and all in all, Skyborn is truly a delight on every level. I'm ready for the sequel, please!!!
