that's the genre. With so many HOGs/adventure games out there, coming out almost daily, it's got to be hard to come up with completely unique game play. I actually liked that there was no hint button. At first it was frustrating, but when I finally DID figure out what to do, it was more rewarding than being led by the hand, and actually lends to the length of play, which is one of the important factors on my decision of whether to purchase or not. And as for the standard 'junk pile' HOS'...that's also part of the genre. Some complain that the objects are too hard to find, but for me, that's part of the challenge. For the money...it's a good game.

I played for exactly 15 minutes...there was nothing "happy" about this! As soon as I realized I couldn't perform "chains" I knew it would be almost impossible to complete a level as the game progressed and new items were added.

I was excited to see another 'build' game with a different spin on it, to the usual outdoor debris clearing, house building, etc...that excitement was short-lived. This has to be the slowest moving "time management" game ever developed! I might as well have been watching paint dry. Never mind about graphics quality...even if they were crystal clear and stunning, it wouldn't have saved this stinker.
The premise is unique to most of the standard HOG/adventure games and is even borderline disturbing...but in a good way if you like that sort of thing, which I do . The artistry and graphics are stunning, hidden object scenes crisp and clear. The one drawback I encountered was that the back and forth from scene to scene looking for the necessary items to advance in the game was so involved and numerous, that I started getting a tad frustrated with it. This definitely could have used a "jump" option in the map! And the villain, "Oscar" obviously loved to hear himself talk...blah, blah, blah. Overall, this is a well thought out, well developed game, so I'm going to recommend it!
I don't know if it was just my dinosaur of a computer but gameplay lagged and it took some time to go from scene to scene. The artistry was beautiful, but the storyline was a little contrived and there were far too many unnecessary moves and jumping from place to place. If you weren't in an "active" scene, all the hints did for you was told you was that it was "not an auspicious time" to search there, which wasn't of much help if there were 4 or 5 areas that still needed something done in. All in all, I wouldn't waste money or game credits on it.
I like these strategy/build games...but it's almost impossible to get 1st place...I have to wonder how the developers decided on such a ridiculously short amount of time to get through each level. Almost every time, the first place buzzer goes off RIGHT as I'm finishing! Very frustrating.
Without going into the usual blah, blah blah about graphics/sound, etc...I'm just going to cut to the chase and say THIS is what HOG/adventure games should be all about! Congrats to the developers...this one's a keeper!!!

The graphics are beautiful. A lot of back and forth, but at least there are definite directives on where the active areas are in in the "time machine". HOG objects are easy to find. The best part about this game is you have the option to play a match-3 game to find the necessary item to continue instead of finding all of the hidden objects. You can toggle back and forth if you have 1 or 2 items in the HOG left and you want to finish up with the match-3.

This game took my five hours to get through, but I was so drawn in that I couldn't stop until I got to the end, which happened to be at 4 a.m.! I can't think of one bad thing to say about it.
