Goodness...I'm not really sure how to review this game. On the one hand, I love the fact that you're just thrown into it and have to figure it out completely on your own.
On the other hand, I hate the fact that you're just thrown into it and have to figure it out completely on your own.
The graphics are fun and quirky. The music is only mildly irritating...but I think that was only because I was getting frustrated at not being able to figure something out.
I would have given this five stars if it had a 'skip' button on some of the mini-games. Because, if you can't figure one out, you're just stuck, period.
Overall, a fun game that really uses up your brain power!
This was a really good game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to complete most of the mini-games, but did have to skip a few that were just too tedious for me.
The Positives: The storyline was good. Visually, I completely loved the game! The game was definitely long enough, for me. I believe I played for 5ish hours.
My biggest complaints were: 1) I HATE having to close a pop-up every. single. time. you pick up an object. That drives me absolutely insane. There's no need for it. and 2) the bass sound that played every time you found an object in a HO scene became really annoying...to the point that I eventually turned the sound off.
I could possibly have a #3 (the constant back and forth - find one object just to click 10 times back to one area just to do one thing then click back 10 more times back to where you found the object)...but all games do that so what's the point in complaining? lol
Overall, a very fun game and worth the money!
I recommend this game!

I've taken quite a break from HO/Puzzle games lately. They're all just the same, so I've been playing mostly Time Managements for some time. But, something about this one caught my eye and I decided to go ahead and get it.
I'm glad I did. Don't get me wrong...the storyline is the same as all the rest. "Brother is missing, must find him". But, the game play is fun and the graphics are really good!

I really loved this game! The characters are adorable and the gameplay was a lot of fun! I built my first farm and am currently working on my second. I wish the 2nd and 3rd farms added to the storyline, but that's ok. It's still fun.

I don't understand the bad reviews for this game. Several people have stated that there is no skip button...but I've played 4 mini-games now and they ALL have a skip button! I even used one just to make sure it worked!
There is also a storyline! Elizabeth is engaged to be married and her fiancee has just been accused of stealing the Duchess' locket! It's up to Elizabeth to prove her beloved is innocent.
So far...I really like this game just as much as the other Snark Busters games. I will be buying.
I enjoyed the story - I'm an apprentice that is sent to the island and has to learn enough magic and spells to find my way back. I'm a sucker for a good magic story.
I even enjoyed the mini-games/puzzles.
What I didn't like was the confusion that was created several times throughout the game when you're not told to do something until after you've already done it....or when you're tasked with creating an "oil potion" and the name on the recipe you're given is "fire potion". Is that the same thing? Turns out it was, but how confusing!
Looks like a good concept that was rushed to completion. A good time waster, though.
