I burned through this gem in a little under 2.5 hours.
In all honesty, it was a lovely game, a completely new type of adventure and I adore the main character - but two short "chapters", both in themselves about the length of the "bonus" material in most CEs - sorry, but that is WAY too short.
I still recommend it, if you want to spend the money on something so short.

A compelling storyline, plenty of jump scares, lovely imagery - I think I found a new favourite! However, I did have to take breaks while playing because it just put me so much on edge - you could never be sure when the ghost would turn up.
In this ghostly continuation of the Fear for Sale series, you've discovered a luxury ocean liner bears an eerie resemblance to a ship that vanished years ago.

A linear storyline that has been done to death, puzzles and HOGs that are painfully easy (or almost impossible) and characters that I just couldn't give a f*** about... I'm passing on this one.

I loved this game. It is structured very much like the older Life Quest-Games, except that in this one, you're a student of magic who competes against other students. To do so, you have to accomplish a set of tasks every few days or so, while managing limited resources of time, strength and magic - and money, of course, which you earn by diminishing the others!
It's a fun game and I think it has a high replay value, especially since the ways to win are practically endless. Also, you are not really timed - it doesn't exactly matter if you win the competition or not, so feel free to take your time.

But it was just plain boring. I played about 3/4 of the demo before I quit. Awkward controls - in some games you really need to hit just the right pixel for it to work. In some HOGs the cursor simply got stuck and wouldn't move for ten seconds. I can't say much about the storyline because I couldn't really figure out anything in the 45 minutes I played. There is some sort of disease, and that's about all the info you get. The music is repetitive. The mini games are simplistic and not very challenging. The graphics are the same old HOG stuff that we all know too well by now, and seriously, this one is not one of the more spectacular ones - or even one where you can see that someone worked on it. Nothing special about it.
Another issue that I really disliked: Yes, I live in Germany. No, that does not mean that I automatically want to play any game in German. Please, if there are different languages to choose from, at least leave the choice to me instead of making me play in a different language!

I liked the graphics and the sound, except for the people. They were much too wooden. I liked the interactive map, it's a big help.
However, I didn't get the storyline at all. Even now, I'm still asking myself "Why am I supposed to care... and about what, exactly?" I still have absolutely no clue what central parts of the story are about if nothing is actually connected.
All in all, a nice game to play for a few hours, but with very little replay value - and one that I will likely forget very soon.
I don't recommend this game.

Awkward handling, overly bright graphics (kindergarten, anyone?), and I was bored within minutes of starting the demo. I like TM games usually, but this just didn't draw me in at all.

This is pretty much a standard game. You have the evil mastermind, a few not-so-interesting characters, a dark sanatorium and a handful of not very challenging puzzles.
Maybe MCF has spoiled me... but this game unfortunately didn't really interest me. No spooky factor, no plot twists - except one at the very end which you can see coming a mile off.
What can I say? I didn't hate it... but that's all.

I expected a time management game in the style of Paradise Beach or similar. What I got was a LOT of pointless clicking. The faster you fulfilled guest's wishes (which where not shown in any fun way, but simply appeared as blinking icons over holiday huts in an unimaginative cartoon landscape), the higher your score. No thinking involved, no planning, just clicking. Also, I find it quite hard to believe that guests in any imaginary hotel scenario would need to assistance of a chambermaid a whopping six times in a row. Again. And again.
It became kind of monotonous after ten minutes, boring after twenty, tedious to the point of making me sleepy after twenty-five. Deleted it.
I liked the visuals and the sound, I found it quite scary. The storyline, well, it was okay. But overall, a very enjoyable game, and a definite recommendation for people who like a little mystery.
