I wish I could say that the story had the kind of payoff it set up, but it was a bit anti-climactic for me. The lead character is a bit dry, which is stock for this character type, but it could've used a more lively lead. I also wish it had rode the fence more about supernatural elements.
The music, visuals and games are all very enjoyable. There is some innovation in gameplay with crime scenes and compiling evidence which were unique and very fun.
I would like to see a mystery series of this kind from the developer, but it requires a more eccentric cast.
A nice twist on a classic with an entertaining story

Although, just to get this out of the way, the game is way too easy, it's still a lot of fun and I like the varying character backstories and how the plot unfolds. The bonus game in the CE is also a huge improvement, because the villain's motives are otherwise unjustifiably cliched.
Very good visuals and music that borrow from a particular telling of the story, without being overly derivative.
Awful storyline and slow responsiveness make this a dud

I can't really explain how much of a mess the storyline is, the way things never go anywhere, and characters appear for no reason and are never seen again.
It also also loads slowly and the control setup isn't that responsive, making things really drag on.
The minigames themselves are dull and repetitious with no atmosphere and add nothing to the experience.
Game is light play with some fun features and nice world building

I actually prefer this game to the two that came before it in this series in terms of atmosphere and overall plot structure. While the plot is nothing new, it's executed pretty well here.
The music is great, and of course you get to play as a dragon, which is probably one of the high points. I would also recommend the CE for this to get the bonus chapter.
I liked how casual but visually interesting the games were, and it's a fun cast of characters with good design, and enough backstory hinted to keep things interesting without getting convoluted.
The individuals scenes are very well constructed and beautiful to look at, and the use of objects follows logic (for the most part) and doesn't seem like a time-filler as with so many of these games.
Only downside would be that it could've run a bit longer in terms of story and sometimes the character's accents seem overdone. While the ending is wrapped up kind of neatly I still enjoyed the game play for the final battle itself.
I recommend this game!

I saw this game recommended by other players, and although it's a bit older, the storyline and worldbuilding make this worth playing.
I like how the puzzles fit well with the storyline and while it is about a prophecy and a special destiny, it was done really well and has an almost cinematic quality to it, which is always a plus!
The puzzles are enjoyable and keep your interest without being overly complicated. There is also a lot of charm built into it and the interactions with the characters you meet are always entertaining and at times imaginative.
This game was more imaginative than most of the games in this category. The storyline was unique and you play as two different characters, a woman in the main storyline, and a guy in the bonus chapter. (I don't think the bonus chapter is necessary, to be honest? It didn't add much to the story, although it was still enjoyable.)
The story builds upon itself and delivers an interesting twist, and game play is not dragged out too long. The games are challenging and not nonsensical as they often are in some of these games. Nice collectibles hidden on each screen.
Really pretty graphics and music, edited very well. Well worth playing!
Fun game with excellent pacing and plot development

You play as the alchemist's apprentice, getting to put your lessons to good use as you learn more about your own past.
The challenges for this were presented in an interesting way where placement of objects you find makes more sense than they often do in these types of games.
The character designs and fantasy elements are nicely woven together, the scale of the story is a bit smaller in that it only tackles a village with a castle, but it works with the story line.
The music is non-intrusive but nothing particularly memorable.
My only gripe is that the ending reveal is not necessary, I'm a bit tired of having to sympathize with villains.
From a story standpoint, we don't get any meaningful backstory for the main character, and as the game drags on, you start to lose hope that the story is going anywhere.
There are some beautifully rendered scenes, but not enough to make up for the slow story and HOGs which are not very interactive.
As with other games, I do like the spyglass feature that lets you find hidden objects within the game. Probably the most enjoyable part for me.
Towards the end of the game, I was ready for the exit.
