Super short demo, all of twenty two minutes. Very simple game play. I'll wait for the non-CE version and use a free credit. (Do love the cats, as I am a cat person)
Thank you, EG and BFG, for a non-fairy based story! The graphics are great (how do they manage to make pouring metal look so real!), and except for an occasional cranky puzzle (press the center of the round lock to get it to close) it's smooth game play. Not a super hard game, but enjoyable. Now I don't have to interface with my relatives over Labor Day weekend!
An amulet purchased in an antique shop has awakened an ancient and terrible evil. Help rescue your beloved and save mankind from the coming eternal frost!
Better storyline than many of the recent Collectors Editions. Lots of HOG, tools are used in a rational manner, and no pink and purple fairies. However, if you are very, very, easily frightened, don't play it.
I recommend this game!

PuppetShow: Lightning Strikes Collector's Edition
The women of Paris are being turned into puppets! Can you find out who's pulling the strings?
Based on the demo, this is an intriguing game with a rambling story line. If you like fairies and flowers, don't buy this one, it has dark intrigue, and will satisfy any Luddites (look it up)
The storyline is muddled, what with the player being a sheriff, then the town is falling apart, then skeletons, ghosts and a Viking apparition (why is it that all female apparitions have Barbie doll bodies and luxurious hair) The puzzles are easy, but the Demo was far too short! (And no pink and purple fairies, thank you!) Fun, not fantastic
Your character investigates unusual occurrences, and a family curse on a dark and gloomy English country estate (surrounded by a deadly bog and haunted by a ghost dog) needs some attention. Excellent storyline, the HOG are interactive, so you need to pay attention instead of just clicking aimlessly. Only one set of Collectibles, so you can enjoy the game instead of searching for morphing objects. And best of all, no pink and purple fairy lands accessed through magical portals!

Beyond the Unknown: A Matter of Time
It’s time to solve the secret of this mysterious island!
The storyline is full of plot holes, but it's fun, and a nice change from the uber sweetness of rescuing lost children from evil witches who turn out to be simply misunderstood.
Eipix wastes time and talent on these pink and purple fairyland tales. Only those obsessed with sweetness and light should buy this game. My blood sugar soared after ten minutes of the trial version....
Good ghost story, excellent graphics (no portals to Fairyland, hooray!), and the basic story line is based in reality (kind of) Thank you Gunnar Games, for not adding to my sugar intolerance!
Fun game, however, if you have epilepsy or migraines which are triggered by flashing lights, close your eyes for the transitional scenes (where the characters moves between realities) which are reminiscent of Dr. Who....Otherwise, a fun way to spend the afternoon.
