Game devs are Quick Click. Not familiar with them, but this is one fine game. Love the Eygptian location for the demo. Played demo in 47 minutes. Two game playing choices- casual and expert, which is fine by me. Trophies are collected in a variety of catagories. Shows pictures of tools or objects needed for interactive scenes. Music was good, there are no voices overs, and graphics are fantastic. Shooting ambushing monsters for extra hints keep you focused on what is going around you. I am now downloading the purchased game. Can't wait to play again.
This is from "Play Favorite Games". I guess they are a new group as I do not remember playing any of their games. If 9: The Dark Side is their first game, I look forward to the future games! I played the demo until time was up. The graphics are excellent. I noticed an option to change language, which was nice, except the only option atm is english. (?). The music was repetitive, I usually turn off music, but every now and then you would hear a dark voice chuckling in a sinister way. Made me laugh. 3 different modes of play, I chose advanced and it seemed just right for me, right in the middle. The voice overs are nice sounding, but I thought too slow. They could have read in a normal pace. The HO scence were just the right difficulty for me, never had to use a hint. Some of the puzzles were a change from the usual ones in other games. I only skipped one, it started to frustrate me, something I do not like in a game. (I like a challenge but not frustration). I plan to buy this as soon as I am done with this review. Good job Play Favorite Games and thanks again BFG for bringing another great game! Happy gaming fishies!
I finished the demo in exactly 50 minutes. I did use SG which is available with demo. I didn't have to use the hint button on the HO's. I liked the graphics, although some reviews said it was "too grainy". I think it was the "fog" that caused this.Once the fog was removed, I thought the graphics were fine. The puzzles were just hard enough not to be frustrating. I usually do not wear headphones during game play as it distracts me. I did listen during demo andclose to the end of demo I removed them, maybe too repetitive. I didn't really notice "sparkles" in the game, must have tuned them out also. As I am writing this review, my game purchase is downloading. Purchased the game as soon as I completed the demo. Happy gaming fishes! Thanks BFG for another great CE game. Keep up the wonderful work. DO NOT STOP! Vallarina
Excellent graphics, exciting haunting story. The puzzles were intriguing and hidden object scences challenging and not dark or with too small items. I didn't mind the "sparkles", they did not interfer with my gaming experience. I will probably purchase the game after writing this review even though I should wait for the SE game price. Keep up the wonderful work BFG. Thanks for the fun!
I played the demo in casual mode because I find I get further in the game that way. I enjoyed the story line, the graphics were bright and clear. The music and sound didn't intrude or make you want to play with out sound. I didn't skip any of the puzzles or have the need to use the hint button on the hidden object hunt. I did use the hint button to see what to do next when I got stuck. The strategy guide was clear and informative. I will probably but this collector's edition. It's worth the money. Keep putting out great games BFG. Thanks for the fun!
