This is NOT a child's game...even though it looks childish!!
As wonderful and unusual a game as Lemmings was. Fun, frustrating, aggravating, and silly. A total delight!!!
This is not the average game for the average player. I think you have to be a special kind of masochist...although the beginning scenes are interesting and fun, as the game progresses they become much more difficult, and I spent several hours on some of them. The solutions require careful planning and, for me, lots of thought. But then, the victory is so much sweeter!
Yet, even though I managed to finish, I will come back to this many times in the future!!
Thankfully you can replay a scene as much as needed to defeat it....and sometimes they are impossible to plan until you've watched how the bugs die first.
Thoroughly enjoyable...could take weeks to play....I Loved it!
As other reviewers have said, this is not your typical HO. But, the nicest thing about this game is the logic with which you place the items in each scene.
Sometimes you need the description to see that logic, but that, for me, was the most fun...trying to guess how that logic worked.
This is not a difficult or challenging game...but hunt for the "E" cards first, or the scene will disappear before you find them..and they are VERY small. The only thing I think the cards are good for are the hints, and I didn't need more than 5 or 6 through the whole game, so you can stop when you have plenty. I had nearly 70 left over.
Everything about this game is pleasant and simple. Even the rooms are sparsely furnished.
When you get to the crowded "opposite" HO scenes they are well lit and most items are easily identified.
All in all a very nice game when you don't want to work too hard. I will be purchasing the new one too!
The storyline is a nice little twist on Robin Hood.
Although the gameplay is pretty straight forward, it was never boring or tedious. There was just enough thinking required to keep it interesting and none of the puzzles were too hard.
It was also nice to have well-lit scenes!!
I like the "finished" notice on each area...didn't need a map or directions.
However, this is not a game for those who want a challenge, but if you'd like to spend a few hours with a relaxing, interesting game....this is the one.
Personally, I don't play for scores or achievements but for relaxing and still using my mind (instead of TV zombie...lol)
This was one of those games that seemed better in the "trial" than in the full game. Very predictable game play. Ho scenes aren't bad but items hidden behind things are difficult to find...especially with a click penalty. At least they were not too dark or tiny. The minis are ok but no real challenge. Dialog (printed - not spoken) made attempt at humor but fell short. It's overall an ok game...especially for newbies. The different levels of hints is a nice idea. I wish more devs. would try that.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
This game is great because the HO scenes are different from the usual cluttered hunting scenes. While there are not a lot of them they are mostly interactive...(ex: "repaired kettle"...put the spout on the kettle to make it disappear). There is a good variety of other puzzles...none too difficult although some don't seem to make sense.
Hints and skips fill pretty quickly but beware... if you want a hint about what to do you may be transported to a needy location. The map is interactive and a great help for that.
I played for enjoyment and relaxation...not for challenge, so I didn't try the difficult mode. For me this was enough thinking and not so simple so as to make me feel brain-dead.
The story line is average and the scenes are clear and not very dark. The HO scenes were fun, but could have been more challenging.
A UFO is rumored to have landed in the small town of Tundel and the mayor is trying to conceal it. Run your own journalistic investigation and learn the truth behind the event!

Fun, funny, and even frustrating at times, I was so sorry to reach the end! There's lots of complications, some odd puzzles...mostly easy...and terrific graphics!
You may want to keep a notebook handy to help remember who (in which house) you are hunting an item for....even with the map and flag, it's easy to loose sight of your tasks. But, there are no penalties, just mindless wandering if you forget. Using the flag helps, but I didn't discover that until the end, so it was foolish hunting, for me.
The built-in map and notebook are always available and VERY necessary!
